The atmosphere in the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom was exceedingly delicate.
Some students had fainted from fright. Upon seeing Dumbledore appear, some gathered around him, while quite a few others seized the chance to bolt straight for the door.
There was no helping it.
They might not have heard what Aurora called the giant snake, but its oppressive presence was undeniably real. Being able to overcome their fear and react at all was proof of everyone's courage. Whenever Jörmungandr's enormous golden slitted pupils fixed upon a human, that icy gaze seemed capable of freezing the souls of all things.
Of course.
Ian was certainly not affected by it. The young wizard understood the situation, and his mood was as gloomy as though dark clouds had gathered overhead. The shadow of usury wrapped around him like a nightmare.
He was still worrying inwardly about whether his wand would demand nine out and twelve back. Beside him, having heard Aurora's revelation, Dumbledore's expression merely tightened slightly in the face of a mythical creature.
His reaction was remarkably calm.
Beyond surprise, the eyes behind his half-moon spectacles showed little turbulence. However, that did not mean the old Headmaster had failed to act. With a light flick of the Elder Wand in his hand—
"All students, leave the classroom immediately!"
Dumbledore's voice carried unquestionable authority.
The next moment.
A gentle silver light flashed, and the students in the classroom vanished one after another like pencil drawings erased by a rubber. Naturally, Dumbledore had not killed them.
He had successfully transported them somewhere safe. Hogwarts did indeed have restrictions concerning Space Magic, but those restrictions only bound ordinary wizards. Even if the old Headmaster had not become a wizard of Legendary Status, he could still lift those restrictions through his authority as Headmaster.
