Dinner passed quickly.
Although Ian had arrived late, he still ate to his heart's content. As dinner ended, the noise in the Great Hall gradually faded, and students from every house streamed toward the exits like a receding tide.
Night Curtain was about to fall.
Everyone would return to their Common Rooms to rest.
Ian lingered at the back, leisurely considering his next plan. As he passed through the corridor outside the hall, he happened to see Harry emerging from Snape's office.
The boy looked even more disheveled than he had at dinner. His glasses were crooked, his hair was messier than usual, and his green eyes were full of humiliation and frustration.
"Damn Snape!"
Harry cursed under his breath. He looked as though he had suffered some terrible blow, even nearly walking into a wall. Ian could not help wondering what Snape had said or done to him.
So—
the Young Wizard carefully examined him with his own eyes.
There was some unidentified liquid on Harry's robes, giving off a strange smell—fortunately, it was only the scent of evening primrose. If it had smelled like heather, Ian would have felt compelled to call the authorities.
"Is Good Uncle researching a transformation potion?"
Ian sniffed, identifying from the lingering potion scent exactly what potion Harry Potter had been used to test. He did not go over to greet the unhappy Harry. Instead, he simply watched Harry curse his way toward the Slytherin Common Room. Perhaps ten minutes earlier, this Savior had really experienced what it felt like to be Harriet.
Yes.
Through the effects of the ingredients, Ian had already figured out what potion experiment Harry Potter had been helping Snape with. It was absolutely research that could be called a blessing for certain special groups.
"Good Uncle is terrifying!"
