Ian had once again gained some knowledge from the senior dragon of Hogwarts.
It made him wonder.
If Dumbledore, who had seemingly attained Legend by slaying dragons, learned this information, would he hunt down the other eleven Ancient Dragons to obtain the world's so-called Dragon Slayer certification?
After all.
If he could deceive history and slay a dragon somewhere along the river of past time, then slaying another eleven should not be difficult. Especially since facing dragons with Legendary Status would make things much easier.
From what Ian understood.
Legends attained through dragon slaying were inherently weaker than those attained by other means. So, if he knew this information, Grindelwald would certainly choose to do it.

Had he.
And Albus Dumbledore actually already done so? After all, the senior dragon's knowledge came from Hogwarts. There was no reason Dumbledore would not know this.
If Dumbledore had truly inherited the Founders' legacy of knowledge, then when he and Grindelwald attained Legend, they would certainly have known what the senior dragon was talking about now.
"But that still doesn't explain why it has to be twelve," he continued asking. "Why not ten? Fifteen? Or the number most representative of magic—seven?"
Ian still remembered that, in the world of Harry Potter, seven had always been the most special number.
"You even know that seven is a highly significant number... Actually, many numbers hold meaning." The dragon fell silent for a moment, as though recalling some ancient legend.
"Because twelve is a complete cycle," it said. "There are twelve months in a year, twelve signs of the zodiac, and twelve nodes in a magic circle... Twelve represents completeness, and it also represents an ending. When you slay the twelfth dragon, it symbolizes that you have completed a special
