• The Ancient Dragon explained how time could hide changes and how slaying twelve Dragons could earn a world-granted reward, while Ian found Morgan’s notebook and learned her predictions about the end of true fairy tales.
• Ian met Claire and Dumbledore, learned about Claire’s phoenix-rebirth soup, and accepted her list of materials in exchange for help gathering them with her Time Machine.
• Ian traveled to ancient Greece, protected Rhodes Island’s civilians, witnessed Zeus kill Kratos, and obtained Kratos’s blood before taking Ares’s heart from his tomb.
• In Thebes, Ian defended Wild Wizards from the Temple Knights, taught them magic, and agreed to Athena’s request to protect her through Ragnarok.
• Ian traveled to Egypt, gathered rare creatures and alchemical artifacts, looted Ramesses III’s pyramid, and explored Set’s sealed palace before escaping as it collapsed.

Ian passed Anubis’s trials, then investigated the Temple of Ra and uncovered an out-of-control embryo that devoured people and transformed them into part of itself. As the embryo neared birth, Ian rushed to stop it while Karina and the Twilight Hermit Society rescued survivors and hoped he would save them.

• Ian defeated Seti and Heka-Ur, then challenged Anubis directly, earned the Styx Oar, and flew to Memphis to seek the Fragment of the Eye of Ra.
• Ian traced a false Eye of Ra to Nakht and investigated the temple, where he discovered priests creating a replacement sun from an embryo and sacrificing civilians to nourish it.
• Ian searched the temple and the Great Library for clues, then learned from Kam and the Twilight Hermit Society that the temple’s false god was sending Faceless Ones and Ghost Brides to seize people.

Ian helped Ra defeat Set-Apep and recovered fragments of the Eye of Ra, then set out for Merlin’s era in his Time Machine. After the machine was damaged, he became stranded in distorted timelines and discovered a Nazi-ruled world where wizardkind had been hunted, before arriving in Africa during Voldemort’s early years.

• Ian fought Set-Apep while Isis and Osiris rescued the living and the dead, then found the reborn Ra inside the living temple.
• Ra awakened the Prince Family’s covenant, and Ian escaped the temple to join the gods in battle against Set-Apep.
