Background
Ah Yin's sacrifice granted Tang Hao a Hundred Thousand Year Soul Ring and Soul Bone, allowing him to become the continent's youngest Titled Douluo and grievously wound former Martial Soul Hall Pope Qian Xunji. Afterward, he fled with the infant Tang San to Holy Soul Village. 33 55
Following Ah Yin's loss, Tang Hao became an alcoholic and neglected the young Tang San, forcing the child to prepare meals while he remained drunk and abusive. Gu Nian's God King Judgment later projected memories of Tang Hao indiscriminately hunting Martial Soul Hall members through ambushes and poison, using revenge to vent his resentment. 12
Appearance
Tang Hao is a burly, weathered man whose deep-set eyes and imposing presence retain the bearing of a powerful Spirit Master despite his rough condition. 9
- Usually wears a simple linen robe. 9
- Has a face marked by age, with disheveled hair and beard. 50
- Wields the massive Clear Sky Hammer, later mutated into the Chaos Hammer. 77
Personality
Tang Hao is consumed by obsession with Ah Yin and by resentment over his past humiliation. Rather than seeking Gu Nian's help to revive her, he initially resolves to kill Gu Nian and seize the Blue Silver God King origin for himself. 8 10
His grief is repeatedly shown as inseparable from calculation. After Ah Yin's resurrection, he considers using her sacrifice a second time to create a Soul Ring and Soul Bone for Tang San, then feigns sorrow to persuade Tang Xiao and the Clear Sky Sect to support him. 50 51
Tang Hao is prone to overconfidence whenever he gains external power. Golden Ranking rewards and the Human Strength Ranking blessing lead him to challenge Gu Nian again despite earlier defeats. In his final moments, he realizes too late that he provoked an existence beyond his reach. 14 78 79
Abilities & Skills
Clear Sky Hammer
Tang Hao's original martial soul is the Clear Sky Hammer. He uses it as a Titled Douluo and draws on the Clear Sky Sect's strongest techniques. 10 78
- Great Sumeru Hammer — A powerful hammer technique used against Gu Nian. 10
- Clear Sky Mountain Shatter — His first soul skill after replacing his original first ring with a Golden Ranking reward. 14
- Martial Soul True Body — Enlarges and manifests the Clear Sky Hammer's true body for maximum destructive force. 14
- Explode Ring — Detonates Soul Rings to obtain a drastic burst of power or speed; Tang Hao used it to escape Gu Nian after the God King Judgment. 13
- The Clear Sky Hammer was badly damaged by Gu Nian during their first battle and was ultimately replaced by the Chaos Hammer. 10 77
Primordial Chaos Energy Hammer
A God-Bestowed Soul Skill received as the eighth-place Golden Ranking reward. It coats Tang Hao's hammer in chaotic energy capable of warping surrounding space. 13 14
- Used alongside his Martial Soul True Body as his strongest attack against Gu Nian. 14
- Broke through a Blue Silver Grass barrier but was immediately stopped by Gu Nian's blue-gold hand; the Clear Sky Hammer shattered afterward. 14
Chaos Hammer
The Heavenly Dao mutated Tang Hao's Clear Sky Hammer into the Chaos Hammer when he reached ninth place on the Human Strength Ranking. 77
- Carries chaotic energy and ancient patterns after its mutation. 77
- Allowed Tang Hao to repel a Deep Sea Demon Whale King's attack through raw force. 77
- Failed against Gu Nian's higher Law power; Gu Nian stopped it with one finger before it fractured completely. 79
Relationships

- Gu Nian — His principal enemy. Tang Hao repeatedly attempts to seize Gu Nian's power or confront him, but Gu Nian defeats, humiliates, and finally kills him. 10 14 55 79
- Clear Sky Sect — Tang Hao's sect and bloodline faction. His public exposure and defeats repeatedly damage the sect's reputation, while its elders are manipulated into aiding his attempt to reclaim Ah Yin. 11 13 51
