After burning his primordial spirit to survive, Hei Batian raised the Golden Striker, which still carried power from Zhen Yuanzi, to fight the attackers.

After returning to Hedong Commandery and spending three days with his parents, he gave his body to Li Guochen and a hundred soldiers to feed the starving refugees, then died.
