Characteristics

Immortal Kings possess a life level that surpasses True Immortals. Even a trace of their aura can cause Supremes and surviving True Immortals to lose the will to resist 272. Their bodies, Primordial Spirits, blood, artifacts, and Dao laws are all immensely valuable strategic resources 303 343.

Immortal King is not synonymous with invulnerability. A king with damaged Dao foundations may become a flawed Immortal King, as happened to True Hou after injuries from the Immortal Ancient Era 308. Even complete kings can be slain, suppressed, revived, or surpassed by those who reach the Emperor path 358 366 425.

Immortal King Aura

Immortal King pressure is an innate suppression of life level rather than merely released spiritual power.

• It stands above the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands and surpasses True Immortals 272.
• Divine Edicts and an Ancient Battle-Axe, backed by ancient taboos, lost their will to resist when faced with Ye Xuan’s Immortal King aura 272.
• An uncontrolled Immortal King presence could collapse the Eight Lower Realms; Ye Xuan required the Chaos Bead to seal the area while reviving three kings there 358.

Dao Laws and Realm Authority

Immortal Kings can wield laws powerful enough to affect worlds, starfields, time, and causality.

• The Crimson King Furnace carries Immortal King Great Dao laws and produces tribulation fire capable of refining beings and objects into nothingness 303.
• Crimson King’s Immortal King blood could become runes and form a killing formation intended to bind an opponent within time and space 314.
• Several Foreign Territory Immortal Kings jointly attacked the Ruthless Empress across the River of Time after detecting a variable from the future 315.

Immortal King Artifacts

King-level artifacts can threaten or destroy lesser immortals independently of their owners.

• Crimson King Furnace — An Immortal King artifact whose rampage killed two Time Beast Clan immortals and shattered their Primordial Spirits 303.
• Human Emperor Seal — Ye Xuan used it alongside Great Luo Laws to suppress the Primordial Spirits of Ao Sheng, Tai Shi, and Yuan Chu 366.
• Heavenly Emperor’s Divine Edict — A protective edict containing an Immortal King Giant’s will and power, given to Shi Hao as a deterrent against elder-generation enemies 280.

History

Immortal Ancient Era

Immortal Kings were central figures in the war against the Foreign Territory. Three senior kings died defending the world, leaving behind only a crystal skull, a golden hand bone, and a bloodstained eyeball at the Western Mausoleum altar 355. Their remnants retained enough Immortal King presence to make the lower realm’s laws mourn in terror 358.

Foreign Territory kings also survived into later eras. Crimson King, An Lan, Yu Tuo, Di Qiong, and others held power there, while their King-level artifacts and laws could devastate entire regions of the cosmos 303 336.

Heavenly Court Resurgence

After becoming Heavenly Emperor, Ye Xuan defeated the flawed True Hou Immortal King of Meteor Immortal Ridge and ended the Hou Clan’s rule over the forbidden zone 308. He later used the Six Paths Reincarnation Disk and Chaos Bead to restore the three fallen Immortal Ancient kings’ bodies and Primordial Spirits 358.

Ye Xuan also revived Shi King with a Creation Immortal Pill after Shi King nearly exhausted his origin defending the Primordial Imperial City 345. Cold Moon Immortal King was subsequently revived, purged of Dark Matter, and accepted into the Heavenly Court 362.

The Path Beyond Kings

After victories against Foreign Territory Immortal Kings, Ye Xuan declared his intention to seek the path of Break King to Emperor, a goal regarded as unreachable by countless Immortal King Giants throughout history 345 349. This path ultimately leads beyond perfecting one’s own Dao as an Immortal King toward the transcendence associated with Quasi-Immortal Emperors 469.
