Background / History

Tang San is a transmigrator whose foreign soul occupies the body of Ah Yin’s son. His true origin is concealed for much of his early life, while others initially regard his Blue Silver martial soul as ordinary Blue Silver Grass. In reality, it is the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline inherited from Ah Yin; he also possesses the Clear Sky Hammer, making him a Twin Martial Soul wielder with Innate Full Soul Power. 9 33 136

He studied under Yu Xiaogang from childhood and later attended Shrek Academy. The light-screen commentary repeatedly disputes the value of Yu Xiaogang’s instruction, arguing that Tang San’s exceptional talent, bloodline, cultivation method, and twin martial souls—not his teacher’s theories—explained his advancement. 9 79

After Shrek Academy was attacked, Tang San fled with Tang Hao. Tang Hao revealed Xiao Wu’s Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast identity and explained that Tang San’s Blue Silver lineage came from Ah Yin. Believing Yu Xiaogang had led him onto an unsuitable cultivation path, Tang San swore to kill him. 45

Tang San later trained with Tang Hao, practiced the Clear Sky Sect’s Hammer Technique, awakened his Blue Silver Emperor, and entered Slaughter City. After emerging, he was overwhelmed by killing intent and attacked even Tang Hao; his father eventually chose to teach him to wield that intent as a weapon. 90 135 192 195

Appearance

After leaving Slaughter City, Tang San is depicted in a visibly unstable state dominated by killing intent. 192 193

  • His eyes turn completely red during killing-intent episodes. 193
  • Dense, blood-red killing intent clings to his body and hair. 192
  • His killing intent can become tangible enough to crack stone beneath his feet. 193

Personality

Tang San is portrayed by the light-screen reviews as highly ambitious, secretive, and willing to use concealed advantages. His use of hidden weapons, incomplete transmission of his techniques, and later interventions in the lower realm draw repeated accusations of selfishness, manipulation, and hypocrisy. 51 93 170 190

He is intensely attached to Xiao Wu and fiercely protective of those he considers his own. However, his choices—such as delaying Xiao Wu’s rescue to fight the Man-Faced Demon Spider and compete with Meng Yiran—cause Xiao Wu to question whether his devotion is as absolute as he claims. 35 43

His experiences in Slaughter City exacerbate his violent impulses. When provoked or overwhelmed, he struggles to restrain his killing intent, leading to attacks on Tang Hao and the nobles of Moonlight Pavilion. 192 193

Abilities & Skills

Twin Martial Souls

Tang San possesses two top-tier martial souls rather than the ordinary Blue Silver Grass martial soul others assume he has. 9 136

  • Blue Silver Emperor — inherited through Ah Yin’s Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. 9
  • Clear Sky Hammer — his second martial soul and a major source of his innate potential. 9
  • His martial-soul advantage undermines claims that he succeeded solely because of Yu Xiaogang’s teaching. 9

  • Their effectiveness is said to decline when opponents are prepared for surprise attacks. 51

Purple Demon Eyes

A mental-power technique that supports Tang San’s perception and resistance to soul shock. 87
