Background
Tang Hao was born into the Clear Sky Sect and designated as its future successor. The sect invested heavily in him, granting him two inherited soul bones described as among the sect’s greatest resources. 115
While training alongside his elder brother Tang Xiao, Tang Hao encountered Ah Yin, a hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor soul beast who had taken human form. Both brothers fell for her, but Ah Yin chose Tang Hao. 115 120
Tang Hao later brought the pregnant Ah Yin to Martial Soul City, where she was discovered by Martial Soul Hall. Ah Yin ultimately sacrificed herself, leaving Tang Hao with her soul ring and soul bone. 33 The fallout with Martial Soul Hall brought reprisals upon the Clear Sky Sect and its affiliated clans, while Tang Xiao assumed responsibility for the sect’s survival. Tang Hao’s father reportedly died from anger amid these events. 119 120
The light-screen review later portrays Tang Hao as having withdrawn from both the sect and Tang San’s upbringing for years. It further alleges that he neglected his responsibilities while retaining the benefits of his position, including reclaiming a soul bone he had returned to the sect as an apology. 124 128 129
Personality
Tang Hao is fiercely protective when Tang San faces immediate danger. He intervenes against Yue Guan and Ghost Charm, later trains Tang San personally, and brutally restrains him when killing intent drives him into a frenzy. 43 135 192 193
However, his protectiveness is inconsistent with his earlier conduct. Tang Hao admits that he had been “decadent and irresponsible,” while the light-screen review and those close to him condemn his abandonment of the Clear Sky Sect, his neglect of Tang San, and his treatment of Ah Yin. 45 119 124 130
His confrontation with Tang Yuehua reveals that he carries guilt over his past, but he struggles to answer for it. When she challenges him over their father’s death and the sect’s decline, he raises his hand against her but ultimately lowers it and leaves with Tang San. 194 195
Abilities & Skills
Titled Douluo Strength
Tang Hao possesses the full power of a Titled Douluo. When confronting Tang San outside Slaughter City, he manifests nine soul rings: two yellow, two purple, four black, and one hundred-thousand-year red ring. 192
- His released aura can suppress Tang San’s frenzied attacks and dominate the surrounding area. 192 194
- Even his suppression initially fails to fully restrain Tang San’s killing intent. 193
- He is later stated to have reached Level 97. 129
Clear Sky Hammer
Tang Hao wields the Clear Sky Hammer, the martial soul associated with the Clear Sky Sect and inherited by Tang San. 87 143
- He uses overwhelming hammer-based force against high-level opponents. 129
- He personally teaches Tang San the Clear Sky Sect’s hammer technique beneath a waterfall. 135
Exploding Rings
The review attributes Tang Hao’s earlier victories over multiple Titled Douluo to exploding his soul rings, though it also highlights contradictions in the technique’s stated recovery cost and his later combat performance. 129
- Said to have been used during his battle against Qian Xunji and two accompanying Titled Douluo. 129
- The technique is described as causing a prolonged period of weakness, though the review disputes whether that limitation was consistently applied. 129
Killing Intent Training
After Tang San emerges from Slaughter City unable to control his killing intent, Tang Hao chooses not to suppress it permanently. Instead, he resolves to teach Tang San to wield it as a weapon. 195
Equipment / Items
- Two inherited Clear Sky Sect soul bones — granted to Tang Hao when he was named the sect’s successor. 115

Relationships
- Tang San — His son. Tang Hao rescues him from Martial Soul Hall’s elders, guides his cultivation, and later fights him to break his killing-intent trance. 43 45 135 192 193
- Ah Yin — His former lover and Tang San’s mother. Ah Yin chose Tang Hao over Tang Xiao, but later becomes disillusioned after the light screen exposes his conduct. 115 120 125

- Martial Soul Hall — An enemy organization with which Tang Hao shares an irreconcilable blood feud. 43 45
- Xiao Wu — Tang San’s close companion. Tang Hao recognizes that she is a soul beast and believes she has returned safely to the Star Dou Great Forest. 45
