Background / History

Xiao Wu studied at Nuoding Academy with Tang San and became Yu Xiaogang's disciple alongside him at age six. At Shrek Academy, she initially recognized that Yu Xiaogang's instruction amounted mainly to enforced physical training rather than specialized guidance. 4 9

After the Light Screen exposed Yu Xiaogang's alleged plagiarism and incompetence, Xiao Wu resolved to keep Tang San from being harmed by him. She, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Zhuqing planned to reveal Yu Xiaogang's problems to their respective partners before leaving Shrek. 11 12

Her attempt to cautiously warn Tang San failed when he interpreted her remarks about theft and plagiarism as an attack on the secret of his past life. Hurt by his cold response and refusal to listen, Xiao Wu left Shrek with Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing, leaving Tang San a letter rather than saying goodbye in person. 12 18 19

While traveling toward the Star Dou Great Forest, Xiao Wu revealed that she was a hundred-thousand-year soul beast who had taken human form.
