Chapter Summaries

Harry woke after Voldemort’s Killing Curse and learned that Linley, Irina, and Dumbledore had arranged for the curse to destroy the Horcrux in his head while sparing him. After Harry accepted Linley’s invitation to join their organization, Irina began an Unbreakable Vow with him.

• Harry woke on Linley and Irina’s sofa, confused that he had survived Voldemort’s Killing Curse.

• Linley confronted Voldemort over using Acromantulas as cannon fodder while the two fought through Apparition and Fiery Apparition.
• Neville ordered the Alchemy Grenade Cannons to fire as Acromantulas charged the defenders' position.
• Irvin unleashed Fiendfyre, then joined his companions in vanishing it after it consumed thousands of Acromantulas and became uncontrollable.

• The leaderless Acromantulas scattered, and the centaurs waited in ambush at the Forbidden Forest's edge under Linley's deal for one hundred Alchemy Crossbows.
• Irvin confronted Luke Wood with powerful Thunderbolts, forcing Luke to defend himself and dodge.
• Luke urged Irvin to join Voldemort, but Irvin rejected him and raised his hand as he spoke of thunderlight.

Irvin killed Luke Wood while Astoria defeated Yaxley by turning his spilled blood into a Crimson Blood Moon Curse. Harry then confronted Avery and attacked him with Disarming Charms before their duel could begin.

• Irvin trapped Luke Wood in a lightning storm, crippled his legs with a lightning whip, and killed him with an explosive ball of lightning.
• Astoria blocked Yaxley's Dark Arts and wounded him, then used his spilled blood to complete the Crimson Blood Moon Curse.

The Death Eaters learned too late that the British wizarding world had another Demon King level wizard as Irina unleashed her power in the Ministry.

• Barty Crouch Sr. defended himself against McNair while Ministry employees and Aurors fought the invading Death Eaters and tried to buy him time.
• Barty Crouch Sr. fought McNair with renewed force, but McNair broke through his shield while he was distracted by the slaughter.
• Irina Lowell appeared through a Pocket Anchor and froze McNair before his spell could hit Barty Crouch Sr.
