At the Mandeville Point in the Limnos System, Warp energy rippled through the Void, like countless whispering daemons trying to break into the Material Universe.

Twelve Voidships emerged from a rift in the Warp, just as Peter had departed three years ago with five ships. The fleet then changed course and, following orders, slowly made its way toward the orbit of Limnos III.

The War Band's flagship, a massive cruiser called the Blade of Judgment, led the fleet. Its engines rumbled low, and plasma streamed from its stern, as if proclaiming the War Band's victorious return.

The fleet approached Limnos III and took up position in orbit. On the bridge of the Blade of Judgment, Forged Steel Lord Peter stood at the observation deck, watching the planet below. A trace of discontent gleamed in his eyes.

Also in orbit, only one Dark Mechanicus vessel remained: a Moon-class Cruiser docked beside the Starport, which was still under construction. It was making only a token effort to build the Starport. It looked no different from three years ago—or at least, to the naked eye.

Peter furrowed his brow. He knew where the rest of the ships had gone: they were all working on Limnos IV.

Peter regretted it even more now—not giving Limnos IV to the Daedalus Forge World, since in the long run, handing them the planet would surely bring more benefits than drawbacks. He simply hadn't expected them to put themselves first and everyone else second to such an extent.

Construction of the Starport was far behind schedule. It looked no different from three years ago, which Peter found unacceptable. He knew that building a Starport couldn't be done overnight, but a fully functional one was vital to the Limnos System.
