Marco was locked in a fierce battle with Admiral Kizaru and didn't dare let his guard down. The power of the Glint-Glint Fruit was not to be underestimated.

Haki had to be conserved and used at the right moment. One careless mistake, and one of Borsalino's lasers could leave him gravely injured.

Even though he could recover with his Phoenix Blue Flame, it would still cost him a great deal of stamina. The more severe the injury, the more stamina it took to recover.

That was especially true for an ability as stamina-intensive as his. Though it was a Mythical Zoan, he couldn't match other ability users in terms of endurance during a real fight.

Admiral Kuzan was fighting Whitebeard. The clash between ice and tremors seemed to create two separate worlds.

The spreading power of ice meant that even when it was shattered, it could quickly reform under the influence of the cold.

In a head-on clash, Kuzan's performance was every bit as impressive as Whitebeard's.

He wasn't being suppressed the way he had been during his battle with Kaido.
