Chapter 45: Kyle Arrives

Steve Rogers, Captain America.

As a veteran hero in the current Marvel world, he possesses the Perfect Physique of a Super Soldier, a superior mind for combat decisions, over a dozen combat skills, and the sturdy, functional Adamantium Shield.

As soon as Steve drove his motorcycle into the Hydra base, he leaped off. The motorcycle continued forward, crashing into the base's main entrance. The powerful explosion instantly blew a gap in the half-open steel gate, obliterating the dozen or so guards around the entrance as well.

"Again!" Steve shouted, holding his shield, and fiercely charged into the enemy guards alone, fighting dozens of them as if he were one man against an army.

At the same time, less than a hundred meters away on the snowy mountain beside the Hydra base's main entrance, thousands of American soldiers were lying in wait, anticipating the opportune moment.

At the forefront of the army, Kyle and Fury crouched at the edge of the snow, observing Steve's bloody battle through binoculars.

Fury exclaimed, "Steve, even though he's just acting as bait, he's really starting to lean towards your fighting style."

"No," Kyle gently shook his head and said slowly, "This should be his true style."

Because he symbolized only America's justice and protection, people perceived Steve as not having strong offensive capabilities.

In reality, always being the lone vanguard charging to the front lines of war, defending everything with his shield, and striking enemies from all directions with his shield – this was the true posture of Captain America.

Next, according to the pre-arranged plan, Steve was eventually defeated under the siege of continuous armed guards and was taken into the base after being apprehended.

Seeing the base gate fully opened again, Kyle nodded and issued his command, "Second Lieutenant Fury, lead the army to directly attack the base's main entrance, annihilate and destroy all internal equipment, and quickly surround this place. Don't let a single Hydra member escape."

At this moment, inside Hydra's final underground base, on the second floor of the main hall.

Steve was escorted by two armed guards directly into the hall and stopped before a man with a hideous, scarlet skull face.

This man was the founder of Hydra, Schmidt, also known as Red Skull.

He coldly met Steve's gaze, looking down at him, and said with contempt, "You truly inherited the arrogance of Americans, and even more so. You actually came here alone to die."

"Professor Erskine escaped from me and gave everything to you and that Kyle."

Speaking of this, Red Skull gritted his teeth, his angry and distorted expression making his face even more hideous—as a Super Soldier, he was inferior to the other two and had become disfigured to this extent!

"The Professor told me you are an absolute lunatic and unworthy of what he possessed," Steve said with a mocking smile.

"Shut up! He was just jealous of my extraordinary talent! What's so special about you?" Red Skull roared, clenching his fists and punching Steve hard in the stomach.

"Cough." Steve coughed in pain, falling to his knees on the hall floor from the blow.

Red Skull looked down at him, pulled out a modified energy pistol from his waist, and said, "Captain, allow me to end your life."

Facing imminent death, Steve instead smiled and said, "Didn't you ask what was special about me? Sorry, I'm just a short kid from Brooklyn, New York, but I have a brother."

As soon as he finished speaking, from outside the second-floor window of the base, a black figure, using a suspended steel cable, violently smashed through the glass window and burst into the hall.

The two guards standing by the window turned to look. The young man in the black combat suit rolled on the ground, completely absorbing the impact. As he quickly got up, he drew a sharp single-handed sword from his left hand and lunged forward, slashing diagonally.

Swoosh!

Like cutting a watermelon, the heads of the two fully armed guards flew high—

Everything happened too suddenly. From his surprise entry to his swift attack, the young man in the black combat suit completed the action within half a second.

When everyone in the second-floor hall of the base looked over, all they could see was the cold, expressionless youth standing in the hall with his sword, looking at them coldly, with the four severed bodies behind him serving as a bloody backdrop.

"Kyle! It's Kyle from the US Army!" someone in the second-floor hall of the base shouted first, and then a suffocating sense of dread enveloped most of the people's hearts.

Hydra members were brainwashed and possessed absolute loyalty, unafraid of death, but that didn't mean they had lost the emotion called fear.

And the only enemy that could truly make them feel fear in this world was the youth before them.
