The transport fighter flew smoothly above the clouds, basking in the golden sunlight as it sped towards the edge of the Atlantic.

Kyle and Steve, one holding a sword and the other a shield, cautiously entered the fighter's cockpit.

Red Skull had clearly fled in a hurry, bringing few armed guards with him. The ones they had just thrown out of the cabin were all the guards there were, leaving the spacious cockpit eerily quiet.

There was no one at the controls of the transport fighter; it was flying on autopilot according to the flight path programmed by the system.

Directly behind the pilot's seat was a storage unit emitting faint wisps of mysterious blue light. Through the glass container, they could vaguely see the cubic object inside.

Kyle immediately focused on the item in the storage unit, his azure eyes reflecting its blue glow. Even though he was too far away to see the card information, he was certain he recognized it.

It was the Tesseract, no doubt about it!

After all, even from ten meters away, separated by metal and glass, he could still clearly feel its heart-stopping, intoxicating mysterious allure.

Steve still wanted to advance slowly with his shield raised, making Kyle shake his head. After the commotion in the rear cabin, Red Skull had obviously known they were on the fighter, so any sneak attack was unnecessary.

The fact that the enemy was hidden and they were exposed was disadvantageous, but their superior strength against a weakened enemy was a huge gap that the injured Red Skull couldn't overcome.

Kyle walked forward directly with his sword, saying coldly, "Schmidt, you're all alone now. If you call yourself Hydra, stop hiding like a rat! If you have any other tricks, bring them out!"

Steve shrugged at the sight and stepped forward, saying in a warning tone, "It's time to end all your evil deeds, Schmidt!"

Facing their taunts and accusations, Red Skull's cold response came from the pilot's seat in the main cabin, "You two are relentless. Do you really think you've won? Just because you wear clothes with the American symbol, you think you're symbols of the nation? I've seen the future, a beautiful world with no national divisions, purely subservient to my rule!"

Confirming Red Skull's location, Kyle and Steve exchanged a glance and moved to flank him from both sides with tacit understanding.

Red Skull, still in the pilot's seat, continued to speak to himself, "Until the very last moment, no one can say who wins or loses!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he slammed his palm onto the side of the control panel, pushing the steering wheel all the way down—

'Vroom!'

The smoothly flying transport fighter suddenly stopped and then plunged headfirst into the clouds below, entering a ninety-degree dive.

Everything in the fighter's main cabin, including Kyle and Steve, became weightless, tumbling and rolling at various angles.

"This is just the beginning..." Red Skull, strapped into his seat, snorted and raised a large laser weapon. However, he didn't aim it at Kyle or Steve, who were tumbling behind him, but at the cockpit window directly in front of him.

"Die, all of you!" His scarlet skull-like face contorted slightly, and his sunken eye sockets gleamed with madness as he fired the laser weapon at the cockpit's glass window.

'Bang!'

The moment the window was destroyed by the laser, a powerful hurricane formed due to the extreme pressure difference between the inside and outside of the fighter, sucking everything in the cabin towards the open window and out into the high altitude.

This was over ten thousand meters up! An ordinary person would have fainted from the immense pressure difference!

"Kyle, be careful!" Steve, having luckily grabbed onto a metal frame on the ceiling of the cockpit, turned his worried gaze towards the floating Kyle.

"That guy is really risking his life!"

Kyle gritted his teeth. As he was being pulled towards the window, he quickly reacted and drove his sword into the cabin floor.

"That was close."

Kyle sighed in relief, using the sword embedded in the floor to stabilize himself. But as his gaze shifted downwards, his pupils constricted slightly.

His Sodium-Carbon Steel Sword was lodged precisely into the glass storage unit emitting the blue light. The glass had cracked, revealing the mysterious aura of the Tesseract within.

My god, this...

Kyle felt a chill run down his spine, vaguely recalling the consequences of Red Skull directly touching the Tesseract in the movies: being forcibly banished beyond the cosmic galaxy, alone on a desolate planet guarding the Soul Stone for over seventy years.

At this moment, the Tesseract was completely exposed to the air, less than half a meter away from him!

As if stimulated by the sword strike, the Tesseract's mysterious blue light intensified, and beams of light shot out, displaying a brilliant cosmic star map in the void.

Space was warping inch by inch, and the Tesseract was pulling Kyle closer!

"This is bad..." Kyle found himself in a dilemma, with no way forward or back, as he watched the Tesseract slowly open a spatial tunnel before him.

Was he about to be teleported?

Kyle gave a bitter smile and was about to close his eyes in resignation when Steve's voice suddenly reached his ears, "Kyle! Get out of the way!"

The next moment, a round shield flew across more than ten meters and struck the Tesseract, which was reflecting the star map, knocking it away from Kyle and directly towards the gaping window.

"That was close!" Kyle's face was pale. He had been just a hair's breadth away from being teleported to who-knows-where by the Tesseract!

I love Earth!

Freed from danger, Kyle's joy was almost overwhelming! He felt like giving Steve a big hug.

"No!" Red Skull shouted. He watched the Tesseract, which had just flown past him and was about to be thrown out of the fighter through the window, and stood there as if petrified. He quickly reached out and grabbed the Tesseract.

'Vroom—'

The dimming star map brightened again, and a rainbow beam of light struck Red Skull from the sky, engulfing and vaporizing him.

The Tesseract completed this simple spatial manipulation and was then thrown out of the fighter, falling towards the sea.

The fighter continued its suicidal ninety-degree dive. With less than a thousand meters to the ground, Kyle struggled against the strong wind pressure to reach the pilot's seat and steer the controls back to their normal position.

As soon as he completed this action, the transport fighter returned to normal flight, but the control instruments seemed to be at their limit, smoking.

"Hoo." Kyle wearily slumped onto the floor.

Although there was still strong wind pressure, the fighter jet had finally stabilized. Moreover, since the aircraft wasn't flying at a high altitude, the pull of gravity was significantly reduced to an acceptable level.

"You okay?" Steve asked with a smile, descending from the top of the cabin and settling into the pilot's seat, buckling his seatbelt.

Kyle waved his hand and said, "I'm fine. Quickly contact the base and have them arrange for this fighter jet to land."

"OK." Steve nodded, sitting in the pilot's seat and starting to operate the instruments. After a moment, as if discovering something, his relaxed expression gradually turned grim.

"What's wrong?" Kyle noticed the change in Steve's expression and couldn't help but stand up and ask.

Steve took a deep breath and said sternly, "The situation is bad. The autopilot cannot be disengaged, and many functions of manual control are damaged or scrapped. This fighter jet is still heading towards its original destination in New York."

"What!" Kyle exclaimed, realizing the immense potential danger. He said gravely, "Don't rush, let me think of a solution!"

"There's no time," Steve shook his head, his fists clenching silently. It was as if he had made some difficult life decision, and he smiled with relief, saying, "Kyle, hurry to the rear cabin and get the parachute."

"What do you mean by that?" Kyle was slightly taken aback.

Steve said firmly, "I'm going to sink this plane into the sea. You should prepare the parachute and jump out quickly."

"Don't rush, there must be other solutions. Besides, even if I'm the one who has to stay on the plane in the end..."

Before Kyle could finish speaking, Steve cut him off decisively, "Alright, I'll handle this."

Steve gripped the controls firmly, his young, handsome face filled with determination. He smiled and said, "Kyle, you don't know this, but I've always been chasing you."

"From the training base, to our later competitions and the battlefield, I could only watch your back, desperately trying to catch up while constantly accepting the opportunities you gave me."

"Since I've declared myself Captain America, let me surpass you this time and lead the way!"

As he spoke, Steve seemed to revert to the frail young man from before, whose will, however, was unyielding.

"I understand," Kyle said, then silently walked towards the rear cabin of the fighter jet, knowing that no matter how much he said, he couldn't change his comrade's decision.

Because not only was he his best comrade, but he was also his brother, and more importantly, he was the Captain America of this world! Even if he faced danger a thousand times over, he would still stand resolutely at the forefront, willing to sacrifice himself to protect everything he cherished.

"Right, I'll be counting on you to look after Carter," Steve reminded him.

"Huh??? Who's going to look after your girlfriend! I'll be waiting for you back at the base!" Kyle retorted with a scolding tone.

"I... I do like Carter, but she's not my girlfriend," Steve shook his head and said bravely, "Carter, the person she likes has always been you."

"Don't make such ridiculous jokes, how could she like me? You must have misunderstood," Kyle was a bit bewildered. What was going on? He had only casually flirted with her a few times.

"Then consider it a joke," Steve shrugged and instructed, "Next Friday at 8 PM, I've asked her to meet at the Tuoniao Club. If I don't make it, you go in my place."

"Don't worry. I'll book the whole place for you and wait for you to come back to ask her for a dance," Kyle waved his hand and left the main cabin. Steve's voice could still be faintly heard from behind:

"Big brother, everything is entrusted to you..."

Fifteen seconds later, a figure leaped from the rear cabin of the fighter jet at high altitude. After reaching an altitude of a hundred meters, they opened their parachute and slowly descended towards the azure sea.

Kyle, beneath the parachute, looked up intently at the horizon. A plane was steadily flying away, soon disappearing beyond the clouds.

"Steve, no matter the outcome, and no matter how much time passes.

I believe we will surely meet again one day."

Over 3000 words, concluding a small chapter.

Kyle's appearance will change people and events in the Marvel world. This change is significant, like a butterfly effect. Future chapters will be even more exciting.
