Seeing Wang Siyi hurry downstairs, Li Changle shook his head, then looked around her room. It was spacious, yet tidy.
The decor had a somewhat traditional Chinese style, with white walls and pale yellow wooden floors. Aside from a bed, the room had a wardrobe, a dressing table, and a small bookshelf.
The most eye-catching things were a piano and several wooden guitars in one corner. The nearby bookshelf was also filled mostly with books about music.
It seemed music really did occupy a large part of Wang Siyi's life.
Wang Siyi saw her parents sitting in the living room, apparently sulking at each other and refusing to speak. She couldn't help finding it strange; her parents rarely argued.
"Dad, Mom, what's wrong?"
She asked as she looked at the two of them sitting back-to-back.
He Shumin saw that Wang Siyi no longer looked as dejected as before, and that she was holding a box.
Instead of answering Wang Siyi's question, she smiled and asked:
"Siyi, feeling a lot better?"
Wang Siyi blushed. She didn't know how her mother had figured it out, but she really was feeling much better. All she could do was lower her head and murmur, "Mm."
Then Wang Siyi hesitated for a moment before finally raising her head. She stammered to He Shumin:
"M-Mom, that watch I gave you earlier—I took the wrong one. That one wasn't meant for you."
Then she shook the box in her hand.
"T-This is the one for you. Could you trade them back with me?"
She looked up at He Shumin hopefully. The latter only smiled.
"I was wondering why this watch seemed a little strange. But it does make me look quite young when I wear it."
As she spoke, He Shumin picked up the box Wang Siyi
