"Kill the other merfolk. Keep the princess alive!"
After a cold laugh, Aeoris gave the order at once. "The sea's bounty must belong to the elves!"
Among the Pirate Governors, he was neither the most powerful nor the one with the greatest forces. The only thing he could rely on was a legendary item he carried: the Dagger of Escape.
It could lock onto a single teleportation. When he faced mortal danger, it would activate automatically and send him somewhere safe.
Unfortunately, after being used once, the legendary item had been destroyed outright.
Even so, Aeoris didn't regret it in the slightest. Compared to his life, a legendary item was worth nothing.
What was more, the deaths of so many Pirate Governors represented an enormous opportunity.
Just among the ships now revealed, there were four Legendary Pirate Ships!
If he could claim them, becoming Pirate King would be as easy as turning over his hand. He might even gain more and establish an empire of the seas!
"Then let's die together!"
Seeing Aeoris closing in on her, the Mermaid Princess's face took on a look of grim resolve. "Tidal Wave!"
Glug! Glug!
The scene from before seemed to replay itself. Millions upon millions of tons of seawater gathered, like a snow-capped peak about to collapse, ready to send the Sea God and the Wind Chaser Leaf straight to hell beneath its shadow.
"Haha... You won't succeed, because I still have... the Throne!"
Laughing, Aeoris suddenly drew his Sailor's Knife and held it high. "I, Son of the Stars, hero of the elves, Pirate Governor Aeoris, nominate myself, Aeoris, to become this generation's Pirate King! Throne, you are my flagship! All sea monsters, stop tangling with the ghosts and seize that Sea God for me!"
