Nature of a Demon God
Demon Gods forge a personal Great Dao rather than merely accumulating Source Power. A Demon Lord may possess many Origins, but only the completion of an individual path produces the qualitative transformation into a Demon God 777 779.
Their actions leave enduring Dao Marks: imprints capable of surviving in the void for ten thousand years, carrying the Dao charm of their creator and allowing later observers to study the path behind them 764. Inner Demon Ancient Script is likewise associated with Demon Gods; individual characters can bewitch intelligent beings or serve as the foundation for powerful demonic cultivation methods 766.
Demon God Realms
| Realm | Description |
|---|---|
| Void Fusion | A newly ascended Demon God incorporates the Rules of other paths to supplement and perfect its own Great Dao 902. |
| Myriad Transformation | The Great Dao is sublimated and can evolve thousands of divine abilities or manifest other paths through its foundation 902 929. |
| Heavenly Underworld | Multiple paths return to and fuse with the origin, creating a Great Dao comparable to the dark side of the Heavenly Dao 902 997. |

Story Role / Major Arcs
Path to Demon God
Fang Yuan studies the Dao Marks and Inner Demon Ancient Script within the Bottomless Blood Abyss, where he encounters the sealed Ming Gu Demon God. Though tempted by the completeness of Ming Gu’s path, he realizes that relying on another Demon God’s Dao would prevent him from forging his own 764 766.
After becoming a Nine Origin Demon Lord, he gains a clearer understanding of the path ahead. His contract with the Lord of Nothingness provides World Coordinates and a ritual in exchange for assistance rescuing Demon Gods 778 826.
Ascension and the Great Dao of Impermanence
Fang Yuan ascends to Demon God and learns the three internal stages of the realm: Void Fusion, Myriad Transformation, and Heavenly Underworld 902. During the struggle for the Great Dao of Impermanence, he reveals his Red Dragon true form, foils the Lord of Nothingness’s attempt to sacrifice other Demon Gods, and advances to Myriad Transformation 927 929.
Heavenly Underworld Breakthrough
In the Inner Demon Battlefield, Fang Yuan obtains the Heaven Devouring Secret Technique and uses the captured Devourer of All Things as a source of Great Dao Power 936 938. He later devours Ruyi Demon Lord’s path, integrating Creation, Impermanence, and Devourer powers to reach the Heavenly Underworld realm 997.
Conflict with the Lord of Extreme Evil
Fang Yuan infiltrates the Original Sin Demon Realm, where the Lord of Extreme Evil’s Great Dao has altered the local environment and the evolution of demon spirits 1011. After attempting to seize the Seven Deadly Sins Demonic Blade, Fang Yuan is trapped by five Heavenly Underworld Demon Gods in the Five Underworld Sky Locking Great Array 1025 1026.
The Lord of Extreme Evil later manifests eighty-one Great Daos and temporarily burns his origin to produce an unstable Dao Fruit, gaining a portion of Dao Fruit-level power 1027.
Trivia
- A Demon God’s true path is never absolutely complete; each new realm exposes further imperfections that can be supplemented through comprehension, deprivation, or plunder 771.
- Demon Gods can leave behind threats even after death or sealing, since their Dao Marks, Ancient Script, and residual thoughts may continue to influence the world 766 770.
- At the Heavenly Underworld stage, a Demon God can resist a world’s suppression and recover most of its strength after descending into another world 929.
