The Lion strolled along the cliff.

If Lu Jin had happened to come by, he would have recognized the Gene-father, Lion El'Jonson.

But compared with ten thousand years ago, he had aged terribly. He was no longer a wild, golden-haired giant, but an old man in his twilight years.

Lion's mind was blank as he surveyed one battlefield after another beyond the ten-thousand-meter cliff. He couldn't tell who was fighting.

The earlier visions flickered endlessly through his mind.

He felt he had once been a Knight, fighting someone—then he had fallen asleep in a fortress called the Rock, guarded by other Knights.

He had forgotten everything, but he remembered the name Rock Fortress clearly.

But as Lion continued to search his memories, he realized he wasn't in the Rock Fortress. He had been waking up in a forest, and after coming to, he had found a lake. Someone from the past had been fishing from a bridge on its shore.

That king had looked terribly weak, so weak that there was no way he could have caught a fish.

Lion remembered speaking a few words to the king, then a little man in a robe had jumped out and spoken to him. After that, he had passed through the forest—
