Judging by the Star Chart, the Star Sea Ruins lay in a rather remote location, though they didn't look very far away.
But Chen Changan knew all too well that this was only an illusion of perspective. The true distance would take who knew how long to cover.
Chen Changan went all out, racing at full speed without caring whether doing so would rapidly drain the energy in his body.
After all, his body absorbed energy at all times.
There were two reasons Chen Changan seemed to have such incredible stamina. For one, the energy he possessed was terrifyingly vast. For another, his body absorbed energy wherever he went.
Others spent energy in battle without replenishing it. Chen Changan spent energy while replenishing it, so the difference was naturally obvious.
Even so, after racing at full speed for three years, Chen Changan had covered only a third of the journey, according to the Star Chart.
"At my speed, even going all out, it'll take nearly ten years to reach the Star Sea Ruins."
"Good thing I had the foresight to prepare before I left. Otherwise, I'd have to waste just as much time getting back."
From the very beginning, Chen Changan had worried that if the Star Sea Ruins were too far away, he would waste a great deal of time getting there—and just as much returning.
Fortunately, Chen Changan had simply built a teleportation array in the True Realm, and carried the corresponding array with him.
Once he reached the Star Sea Ruins, all he had to do was find a suitable place and activate the array, successfully linking it to the one in the True Realm. Then, when he returned, he would only need to use the teleportation array.
That would save him a great deal of time.
