Power Progression
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ninth-grade world | 1328 | Identified as the lowest grade among the lower three world grades; its level made the birth of World Lord Realm experts exceedingly difficult. |
| Eighth-grade world | 1372 | Chen Changan integrated two Sources of World Veins into the main World Vein over three years. The realm’s True Essence Power increased more than tenfold in concentration and intensity. |
| Sixth-grade world | 1373 | Continued integration of Sources of World Veins raised it to sixth-grade in a little over twenty years, enabling rapid growth among its inhabitants, including Ancient Ancestor and Half-step Realm Lord experts. |
Background
The True Realm is regarded by its inhabitants as the only “true” world. They classify worlds created and controlled by others as false realms, comparing them to rule-bound amusement parks rather than independent realities. Chen Changan challenged this distinction, noting that the True Realm itself could also potentially be created or controlled by a higher existence. 1096
Its rules differ fundamentally from those of lower realms. Law Power—also called Rule Power—becomes unusable after leaving the rules of its original world, while a cultivator’s physical body remains their most dependable foundation. Techniques from lower realms may still function, and Chen Changan considers many lower-realm methods more developed than the True Realm’s own. 1096 1134 1143
In the Ancient Era, the True Realm was home to the Nine Great Races and far more powerful than in its later age. Internal conflict between the Nine Great Races coincided with the Alien Race’s betrayal and an invasion involving Outer Domain experts. The Nine Great Races created the Ancient Forbidden Land to seal the invaders, leaving some of their own powerhouses trapped inside to maintain the seal. 1255 1294
The sealing of the Ancient Forbidden Land severely restricted the True Realm’s development; for a time, Pseudo Ancestor Realm was its highest attainable cultivation level. Chen Changan’s breakthrough to True Ancestor Realm partially opened the Forbidden Land, revived the realm’s energy, and appeared to lift its restrictions. 1307 1312
World Mechanics
Reality and power
- Worlds made by people are considered “false” by the True Realm’s prevailing philosophy, because their laws and cultivation systems are set by creators. 1096
- Law Power cannot be used in the True Realm when its user has left the world whose rules support it. 1096
- Physical strength retains far greater practical value after entering the True Realm than cultivation systems dependent on another world’s laws. 1096
- The True Realm’s development was considered slower than that of the Divine and Saint Realms, despite its claim to be the “true” world. 1143
World grades and World Veins
Worlds are divided into nine grades, grouped into lower, middle, and upper three-grade tiers. A world’s grade determines its energy quality, cultivation ceiling, and likelihood of producing high-level experts. 1328
| World Grade | Documented implication |
|---|---|
| Ninth-grade | The True Realm’s original grade; producing World Lord Realm experts was extremely difficult. 1328 |
| Eighth-grade | May produce World Lord Realm experts, though this is not guaranteed. 1329 1330 |
| Sixth-grade | Can produce Middle World Lord Realm experts and allows Minor World Lords to emerge beneath them. 1329 1330 |
| Third-grade and above | Can produce Great World Lord Realm experts. 1329 |
A world advances by integrating a Source of World Veins into its main World Vein. Sources are chiefly contested through Realm Lord Battles, whose Resource Battle stage determines who may seize them. 1347 1372
Secret realms
- Secret realms may be fallen worlds or independent spaces resembling Blessed Lands. 314
- The True Realm possesses rare secret realms, but ordinary people cannot locate them; Ancestor Realm experts may be able to discover and enter them. 1233
- The Nameless Secret Realm yielded the exceptionally sharp material used in Feng Bubai’s dagger. 1233
- The Ancient Forbidden Land is a major sealed region created during the Ancient Era to contain Outer Domain invaders. 1294 1312
Cultivation System
| Division | Realms |
|---|---|
| Four Truths Realm | True Martial Realm, True Spirit Realm, True Profound Realm, True Extreme Realm 1098 |
| Three Emperors Realm | Emperor Realm, Emperor Lord Realm, Emperor Dao Realm 1098 |
| Two Emperors Realm | Emperor Heaven Realm, Emperor King Realm 1591 |
| Ancestor stages | Pseudo Ancestor Realm, True Ancestor Realm, Grand Ancestor Realm, Ancient Ancestor Realm 1294 1591 |
| World Lord Realm | The former upper limit of the True Realm’s cultivation system. 1294 1313 |
The Four Truths Realm is considered the foundation of cultivation, with True Extreme Realm marking a minor accomplishment. Entering the Three Emperors Realm represents a qualitative change and recognition as a true powerhouse. 1098
Inhabitants and Ancient Races
The Ancient Era’s Nine Great Races included the Human Race, Alien Race, and Earth Human Race. Much knowledge of the remaining races was lost when the True Realm nearly collapsed. 1255
Known ancient races and affiliations include:
- Human Race — remained in the True Realm following the Ancient Era conflict. 1294
- Alien Race — betrayed the other races, later left for the Outer Domain, and retained a continuing presence as a major enemy of the True Realm. 1255 1314
- Earth Human Race — formerly lived in the True Realm and sought support to return. 1220
- Ember Clan — one of the Nine Great Races; Yi Tuo is its periodically reborn Lord. 1290
- Azure Clan, Moon Clan, and Phoenix Clan — reappeared in the True Realm and provided Chen Changan with information about the Ancient Era. 1292 1294
Following the realm’s recovery, the Human Race and seven allied ancient races developed under the Imperial Pavilion’s influence. 1375
Major Events
Ancient Era and the Forbidden Land
The Nine Great Races fought for dominance until the Alien Race’s betrayal and the arrival of Outer Domain forces transformed the conflict into a catastrophe. The Ancient Forbidden Land was established to imprison the invaders, but the seal required trapped powerhouses to maintain it. 1294 1313
The seal’s existence suppressed the True Realm’s energy and cultivation ceiling for ages. By the time Chen Changan arrived, it could no longer be strengthened through lifespan sacrifices and was expected to fail within several years. 1312 1313
Chen Changan’s arrival
Chen Changan entered the True Realm after leaving the Saint Realm. He was informed that his former Law Power had become ineffective and that many parties had anticipated his arrival. 1096
He was subsequently recognized as the son and successor of the Lord of the True Realm, whose past intervention had prevented the Human Race from being destroyed by the Alien Race. 1098 1105 1231
Revival and ascension
Chen Changan reached True Ancestor Realm by gathering energy from across the True Realm. His breakthrough caused the realm’s energy to double and began its revival, though the Ancient Forbidden Land opened only partially. 1306 1307
After obtaining Sources of World Veins through Realm Lord Battles, Chen Changan located the realm’s main World Vein and integrated the sources into it. The resulting upgrades accelerated cultivation across the True Realm and produced a major increase in high-level experts. 1372 1373
Defense against outside forces
The True Realm has repeatedly faced threats from the Alien Race, the Burning Nether Realm, and the Heaven Organization. Chen Changan has treated its development as a strategic necessity, seeking to strengthen the realm’s inhabitants rather than rely solely on his own power. 1314 1372 1478
When two Extreme Intent World Lord Realm experts from the Heaven Organization attacked in Chen Changan’s absence, he returned and killed both, ending the immediate crisis. 1478
