Chen Changan's words left the Phoenix-Eyed White Tiger looking utterly bewildered.
"What do you mean by old-age disease?"
"It's an illness mortals can develop when they get old. They start forgetting things from the past."
"I'm not a mortal. How could I possibly have that kind of illness?"
"If you're not sick, then why can't you remember?"
"Uh... Give me a moment to think."
The Phoenix-Eyed White Tiger furrowed its brow, sinking into deep thought.
Chen Changan gave it a strange look. It had been many years, sure, but the Phoenix-Eyed White Tiger was no ordinary creature. How could its memory be so bad?
It remembered everything except this one thing?
Or had some Secret Technique been used on those words back then, so they could only be remembered under certain conditions?

Chen Changan had thought he would be waiting a long time, but after only about half an hour, the Phoenix-Eyed White Tiger remembered.
"What is it?"
"Master left something here back then."
"But Master only mentioned it in passing. At the time, all I could think about was waiting for him and hoping he'd come back to take me with him, so I forgot what he said."
"Do you think Master left that thing here for you?"
"Wasn't he your father?" the Phoenix-Eyed White Tiger asked.
"Uh... I'm not sure yet whether he's my father."
"But if he really did leave that thing for me, then that would confirm who he is."
