In Wind Moon City, he entered Wind Moon Tower and turned its calligraphy challenge into a lucrative sale.

• Chen Changan killed the transformed foreign being, then confronted the Gu Family in Jufeng City and wiped them out after Third Young Master Gu confessed to being the first of his kind to transform successfully.
• Chen Changan and Mu Yunyao traced the Gu Family’s support to King Xiaoyao, then used Chen’s arrival as bait to draw the king and his allies into the Imperial City, where Chen slaughtered them and uncovered further foreign-race collaborators.
• The Yellow Banner’s Third Squad met Chen Changan, who learned about the Imperial Pavilion, his mother’s Mu Family origins, and his parents’ past, and he ordered the squad to eliminate the remaining foreign races and their supporters.

At the Sacred Land of Literature, he confronted the Five Ancestors’ wills and learned of an Ancient Era legacy tied to the Ancient Forbidden Land and repeated invasions.

• Chen Changan impressed Wind Moon Tower’s scholars with two poems, passed its painting and music challenges, and helped Gu Minglou and Mu Yunyao clear the combat trials.
• Chen Changan drank Wind Flower Wine, advanced to the early stage of the Emperor Realm, and learned that Feng Wuyou and Yue Zhirou’s master wanted him to become the new Sage of Literature.
• At Qingming Sect, Chen Changan survived an attack, killed the Grand Elder’s followers, and reclaimed the arm armor, but an unseen attacker killed the Grand Elder before he could identify who had sent him.

Chen Changan became the new Ancestor of Literature, investigated massacres and tested the strength of his allies at Martial God City. After learning that a double with his aura had slaughtered the Queyan Sect, he followed its trail to Yunchuan, where Su Yihuan revealed they might have been lured there.

• The Five Ancestors passed their power and the Crimson Demon Helmet to Chen Changan, who accepted their request to open the Ancient Forbidden Land and was recognized as the new Ancestor of Literature.
• Chen Changan recruited Wen Yuan and set out toward Martial God City, where he and Su Yihuan investigated a series of city massacres and confronted four descendants of Yun Chuan’s Four Heroes.
• Chen Changan and Mu Yunyao reached Martial God City, where Mu Yunyao topped the Martial God Ranking and Chen Changan broke the Testing Stone Tablet before claiming first place on the War God List.
