Eastsea City, Sunshine Beach.
From the sky, it looked like a crescent moon. Lush vegetation surrounded it, with several buildings blending seamlessly into nature.
The soft sand, dampened by seawater, glimmered faintly. Under the sunlight, it sparkled with countless tiny flecks of light. Blue skies, white clouds, and a gentle sea breeze drew many tourists from elsewhere.
Children built sandcastles, while couples laughed and strolled along the edge of the beach, letting the cool seawater wash over their skin. Out on the water, plenty of people were surfing. Lifeguards occasionally patrolled the shore, afraid someone might get into trouble.
Beside the coconut trees, small vendors sold handicrafts made from colorful shells. The tourists loved them, and even at inflated prices, they were willing to pay.
With entertainment came food, naturally. Food trucks lined the roadside, selling all kinds of grilled skewers and drinks. The queues never stopped.
Since school would not officially begin until tomorrow, Nan Liujing had simply brought Gu Yue to the beach for some fun.
Sitting on a white lounge chair, Gu Yue glanced at a certain someone who had been staring at the beach for ages without shifting his gaze. She gave a faint, jealous snort.
Quite a few beautiful women in bikinis were playing around on the beach. Their wheat-colored and fair skin complemented one another beneath the sun, enough to steal anyone's attention if they were not careful.
They were even more captivating than the Black and White Impermanence.
"Do they look good?" Gu Yue asked in a lowered voice.
"What?" Nan Liujing looked at her in confusion.
Gu Yue pursed her lips, her words carrying a trace of jealousy that even she had not expected. "Those women wearing revealing clothes, jumping around and playing beach volleyball. Do they look good?"
Nan Liujing paused.
