Two Uses, Evolution

In the blink of an eye, it was already late August.

The second semester at the Ninja Academy was about to begin.

Over the past few days, Gojo Yoru had figured out where the black Space-Time Chakra came from and what it could currently be used for.

Just as Sage Chakra was a special energy formed by combining Chakra and Nature Energy.

Gojo Yoru's Space-Time Chakra was the product of combining Physical Energy, Mental Energy, and Space-Time Power.

Unlike Sage Chakra, which drew external Nature Energy into the body, Gojo Yoru's cells could secrete a special kind of Space-Time Power.

However, Gojo Yoru discovered that only some of his cells could secrete Space-Time Power, and the amount was limited. Unlike Physical Energy and Mental Energy, it could not be extracted from all 130 trillion cells.

Cells would not undergo such changes for no reason. Gojo Yoru initially suspected that there was something wrong with his heart.

That black heart projected in his mind might be concealing some secret.

But if it truly held a secret, it should not have taken so long to reveal itself, much less "activate" only when he turned six.

Perhaps the problem was not with his heart, but... with the soul that had come to this world!

Either way, it was not something Gojo Yoru could investigate at present.

Moreover, Gojo Yoru had a feeling that the sensation resembling a warning sign of sudden death might only be the beginning and would likely occur many more times in the future.

After several days of experiments, Gojo Yoru found that, at his current level of strength, Space-Time Chakra had two uses.

The first was Phasing. In fact, Gojo Yoru did not need to manifest Space-Time Chakra outside his body in order to phase.

As long as he formed hand seals and mobilized his Chakra, allowing Space-Time Chakra to flow through his meridians, any area containing Black Chakra could phase partially. If it flooded his entire body, he could phase his whole body.

The second was attacking, though it could not be used to cast ninjutsu. At least, Gojo Yoru could not do so yet.

He discovered that Space-Time Chakra could be used for attacks when he tried to draw the Black Chakra within him out through the Chakra Blade inherited by his family.

And then...

The Armament Haki of the One Piece World appeared in the Naruto World.

The Chakra Blade in Gojo Yoru's hand actually became a Black Blade!

And it was an indestructible Black Blade. Unless something contained the Power of Rules capable of contending with Space-Time, no matter how hard it was, anything Gojo Yoru struck would be cleaved in two.

Gojo Yoru had tested it himself. With only a light sweep of the blade tip across the ground, whether it was brick or the soil beneath it, a smooth, straight cut appeared.

Shuriken, kunai, iron blocks, Wood Golems, gemstones... no matter how hard something was, it was as fragile as thin paper before Gojo Yoru's Black Blade.

With every slash, Gojo Yoru's confidence doubled.

These two uses of Space-Time Chakra were practically a bootleg version of Dojutsu Kamui.

Although Gojo Yoru currently needed hand seals to mobilize Space-Time Chakra, and it took time for it to flood his entire body, during which he could not move.

Although drawing Space-Time Chakra out of his body was extremely difficult, and he could only rely on a Chakra Blade for now instead of using it to cast ninjutsu.

Gojo Yoru had more than one way to solve all those problems.

As long as he removed those restrictions, then before his Space-Time Chakra ran out, he would be invincible in both offense and defense!

That goal filled Gojo Yoru with the drive to grow stronger.

September 1st, Konoha Year 30.

As usual, Gojo Yoru got up at six and went out for his morning run.

He did not abandon physical training and building a solid foundation just because he had awakened powerful abilities.

Uchiha Obito from the Original Work was the perfect negative example.

He had clearly inherited Uchiha Madara's ninjutsu and Flame Fan, with half his body made of Hashirama Cells and possessing terrifying amounts of Chakra and Dojutsu Power, yet when he could not use Kamui Phasing, he could only fight Hatake Kakashi to a draw.

Gojo Yoru would not rely solely on Space-Time abilities like him. At least until his Space-Time Chakra increased enough for him to squander freely, he would only treat Phasing and the Black Blade as trump cards.

Gojo Yoru did not have x-ray vision and had not yet mastered the Sensing Technique, so he did not know how much Chakra an ordinary Genin possessed.

However, when Second Pillar used the Great Fireball Technique in the Original Work, his Chakra reserves earned Hatake Kakashi's admiration. That showed that for an ordinary Genin, possessing enough Chakra to cast C-rank Five Element Ninjutsu was already extremely impressive.

As for Gojo Yoru, he had already begun training in C-rank Five Element Ninjutsu. His Chakra reserves were completely sufficient to use a C-rank ninjutsu, and he could even do so with ease.

That meant his Chakra reserves had long since surpassed those of ordinary Genin.

This was also one of Gojo Yoru's few advantages.

Perhaps a transmigrator's soul was stronger, perhaps it was the Gojo Family's genes, or perhaps even the "unknown" within his body had influenced him. Gojo Yoru's Mental Energy was extremely powerful, and with money and planned investment in his physical development, his Chakra reserves far exceeded those of his peers.

In his first year, his Chakra was already stronger than that of an ordinary Genin.

Space-Time Chakra also accounted for one-third of his total Chakra. Its quantity might not be any less than that of an ordinary Genin.

Even so, this little Space-Time Chakra was nowhere near enough.

Because Gojo Yoru had discovered that his cells could only extract this amount of Space-Time Energy. Once used up, it could be extracted again, but the current limit could not be exceeded.

Rather than being alarmed, Gojo Yoru was delighted by this discovery.

It could be extracted again after being used up, but its amount was locked. Was that not an invisible bottleneck?

If Gojo Yoru had previously still doubted whether that sudden-death-like sensation would appear again.

Then now, Gojo Yoru was one hundred percent certain that the sensation would definitely return.

When that time came, more cells in his body would be able to extract Space-Time Energy.

Once all his cells could extract Space-Time Energy, ordinary Chakra would be completely replaced by Space-Time Chakra. That ability would be a Kekkei Genkai, and Gojo Yoru might even uncover the secret hidden within his body.

Thus, Gojo Yoru named that sudden-death-like sensation—evolution!

After finishing his morning training, Gojo Yoru returned home and took a quick shower.

In front of the full-length mirror, Gojo Yoru pulled his zipper down to his chest and looked over the white-haired child in the mirror, dressed in a blue jacket, white shirt, and black bermuda shorts, with chubby baby cheeks and an adorable youthful face. He tilted his head and grinned. "So cute!"

But after turning around, Gojo Yoru returned to his expressionless state.

With both hands in his pockets, Gojo Yoru left the house and headed toward the academy.

As he entered the school gates, students who had seen how Gojo Yoru fought or heard of his vicious reputation stopped and moved aside.

Even so, Gojo Yoru did not let them off.

"Stray dogs, what are you looking at?"

Meeting the eyes of those students who were secretly watching him, Gojo Yoru spoke coldly.

"S-sorry!"

Those icy sapphire-blue eyes seemed to truly radiate bone-chilling cold, making the students shudder all over. They hurriedly apologized in trembling voices, then lowered their heads or turned away.

Wherever the school tyrant passed, no one dared approach.
