Sasuke learned that the Ōtsutsuki were fugitives who had created a god, and that their planted Chakra Fruit would eventually destroy Earth. After Sasuke killed the fragment of consciousness in Kageyama’s mindscape, its power entered Sasuke and Ino, and Sasuke’s Rinnegan began to evolve.

• The voice revealed that it was an abandoned Ōtsutsuki experiment and told Sasuke that a living god and the Ōtsutsuki main family sought the immature Chakra Fruit on Earth.
• Ino sensed Sasuke was in danger and entered Kageyama’s mindscape, where the voice explained its wish to see the Ōtsutsuki main family destroyed.

Konan, Gaara, and Darui returned from the moon with news that the seal would fail in eight years even after Konan strengthened it, so Naruto volunteered to find Jiraiya in Amegakure for help.

• Tsunade discussed the Otsutsuki threat with Shizune and questioned whether their generation could protect the world.
• Kakashi told Tsunade that Kageyama’s burned skin was peeling away, his body was healing, and his Chakra was returning.
• Sasuke explained that Kageyama’s body was recovering instinctively but his memories were gone, and Tsunade ordered him kept in custody under close surveillance until he recovered.
• Konan, Gaara, and Darui returned from the moon with thirty-seven refugees and warned that the weakened seal would fail within five years.

• Sasuke, Naruto, Jiraiya, and Konan fought four Root Cyborgs with altered Wood Release at the ruined orphanage.
• Naruto knocked out the woman using Wood Release, Sasuke killed the middle-aged man with Amaterasu, and Jiraiya defeated the old man with a Sage Art Rasengan.

Jiraiya explained that Madara’s Moon Eye Plan depended on reviving the Ten-Tails and that Black Zetsu was searching for another Rinnegan host. He also revealed Kaguya Ōtsutsuki’s connection to the Chakra Fruit, the moon, and the Ten-Tails, leaving Konan asking whether Black Zetsu knew the truth.

• Jiraiya told Naruto, Sasuke, and Konan that Madara had manipulated Nagato and that Black Zetsu could possess people with weak Chakra fluctuations.

Naruto found the Six Paths Power hidden deep within his body and accidentally unleashed a massive golden Chakra figure while trying to use it. He regained control after Tsunade intervened, and Tsunade ordered him to train with the power daily for the next week.
