Jin followed Root to the forest, where Danzo ambushed Shisui and stole one of his eyes. Jin knocked Danzo unconscious, took the eye, and left Kakashi to guard the scene until Hiruzen arrived, whereupon Danzo accused him of attacking from behind.

• Shisui eagerly met Danzo, who claimed he had a way to resolve the Uchiha conflict, then stole one of Shisui’s eyes.
• Shisui used Body Flicker to flee, but Danzo insisted his men would stop him.
• Jin sneaked up on Danzo, struck him with a powered brick, took Shisui’s eye, and beat Danzo while leaving him alive.
• Kakashi arrived after Jin left, sent a signal to Hiruzen, and guarded the unconscious Danzo.
• Hiruzen arrived with Enma, and Danzo woke up and accused Hiruzen of attacking him from behind.

Jin copied Danzo’s Wood Release Cells trait after defeating him, while Shisui fled Root and chose to fake his death by jumping from a cliff. Itachi awakened his Mangekyo Sharingan over Shisui’s apparent death, but Jin revealed he had rescued Shisui and scolded Itachi for accepting his friend’s wish to die.

• Hiruzen confronted Danzo about his repeated accusations and told him the village needed a Nameless Shadow as well as a Hokage.
• Danzo took the Hokage's Cloak and left, convinced that further service might eventually earn him the Hokage's position.

Jin’s excessive use of Kamui caused severe eye pain and sent a flood through the dimension, which Obito passed off to Itachi as his own Water Release. Jin returned to the Uchiha District, where he discovered Sasuke had filled his room with destructive dogs and took revenge on him.

• A torrent of water burst from the Kamui Dimension, and Obito angrily blamed Kakashi for dumping it there.
• Itachi mistook the flood for Obito’s Water Release, and Obito introduced himself as Uchiha Madara.

Jin left the Ninja Academy to investigate Danzo’s surveillance, hoping to find First Generation Cells that could stabilize his dangerous, incomplete Wood Release. A Root Ninja with Wood Release captured him, and Jin immediately asked to talk so he could copy the technique.

• Fugaku caught Sasuke after lightning struck him and threatened to make him king when he woke up.
• Sasuke rushed to the Ninja Academy, where he learned Itachi had told girls that he wet the bed, then Naruto slapped him before he could blame Jin.
• Jin left a clone at school and slipped outside, worrying that his immature Wood Release was damaging his body and considering taking Danzo’s First Generation Cells.

Uchiha Jin confronted Root operative Kinoe, later known as Yamato, and drew him outside the village to discuss and copy his Wood Release. After Kinoe trapped Jin in a wooden compound, Jin kept talking until prompts revealed his copyable traits.

• Jin crushed Kinoe's Wood Release, appeared behind him with a blade at his neck, and led him outside the village.
• At the Naka River, Kinoe attacked Jin with Wood Release techniques while Jin dodged and tried to talk.
• Kinoe trapped Jin in a wooden prison and built a sealed compound around it to suppress his Chakra.
• Jin joked that Kinoe should work in real estate and praised his house-building techniques.

Jin defeated Root operative Kinoe after breaking free of his Wood Release restraints and overwhelming him with the Nine-Tails’ power. He successfully copied Kinoe’s Wood Locking Wall and began fusing it with his Wood Release Cells trait.

• Jin inspected Kinoe’s wooden cabin and suggested several improvements before his attempt to copy a trait from Kinoe failed.
• Kinoe sealed Jin inside a wooden egg and prepared to take him to Danzo, but Jin broke out and unleashed a giant crimson Chakra hand.
• Kinoe used Wood Release defenses to withstand Jin’s attacks, but Jin struck him into a crater and defeated him.

Uchiha Jin tested the improved Wood Release cells and waited for his Seven-Year Itch trait to evolve while keeping Yamato unconscious. When Kakashi intervened to protect Yamato, Jin crushed Kakashi’s Chidori and seized him by the throat with a giant crimson hand.

• Jin discovered that his Wood Release cells now divided at half their previous rate and saw his Seven-Year Itch trait begin evolving into Six-Year Cycle.
• Jin kept knocking Yamato unconscious as he waited for the trait to evolve, then considered whether changing the Uchiha massacre’s fate was necessary.

• Yamato told the Third Hokage and the advisors about the crimson Chakra, immense strength, and violence, and they suspected the Uchiha had taken the Nine-Tails’ power.
• Danzo urged Sarutobi to wipe out the Uchiha, and Sarutobi called a meeting of the major clans to prevent the Nine-Tails’ power from reaching them.
