Time-Space Shuttle

"No! I have to save Lord Gran!"

Bulma was frantic. She operated the other machines, and the octopus-shaped device was soon assembled.

If Gran had been there, he would have recognized the device Bulma had built: it was a Time-Space Shuttle.

In the normal course of history, Bulma would not have encountered a Time-Space Shuttle until Future Trunks arrived in this era.

But now...

Bulma and Dr. Briefs, father and daughter, had built a Time-Space Shuttle with their own hands.

"Bulma, we built this machine entirely from theory. I can't guarantee it'll work. Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Yes!"

"Then it's up to you. All we need now is energy. Once we've collected enough, you can give it a try."

"Thanks, Dad."

"You're my daughter, aren't you? Honestly, you and your sister are both so stubborn."

"Oh, Dad, my sister will be back on Earth in a few months. You don't need to worry about her safety."

"I'm not worried about Tights. I'm worried about you. That's—"

"Don't worry, Dad. I'll come back!"

As deities, Beerus and Whis naturally heard the conversation in the laboratory, but they could not figure out what Bulma was planning.

Bulma returned the Time-Space Shuttle to its capsule form. She left the laboratory, called out a greeting to Beerus and Whis in the yard, then flew into the sky.

"That girl really is strange."

Lying on a beach chair, Beerus watched Bulma rise into the air, utterly baffled.

Whis narrowed his eyes. He had a theory, but he could hardly believe it.

Could a mortal really pull off something like that?
