Vegeta Accepted His Fate

"Lord Beerus, is that true?" Vegeta still clung to a sliver of hope. Perhaps Beerus was lying to him.

Beerus wasn't annoyed at being questioned. He was happy to show off the fact that Gran was his disciple, even if the man was trash.

"Do you know how powerful Gran was when you encountered him again?"

Beerus's question brought back old memories for Vegeta.

Three years after Vegeta abandoned Gran, Gran had come for revenge. The moment he appeared, he displayed overwhelming power. He had even said he possessed a Battle Power of one billion!

"O-one billion Battle Power!" Vegeta stammered.

"Battle Power?"

Beerus paused, then said, "If we measure it by the Battle Power you mortals use, Gran did have a base Battle Power of one billion. But..."

Beerus let the words hang.

Vegeta swallowed.

Beside them, Whis's mouth twitched. Lord Beerus really did love showing Gran off!

Then again, hearing his own disciple praised like that felt pretty good to him too.

"Gran transformed into a Super Saiyan right in front of you back then, didn't he?"

Beerus lifted his chin and said proudly, "As a Super Saiyan, Gran had a Battle Power of 50 billion. And he was only nine years old! So what do you think of his talent?"

The words "50 billion Battle Power" reached Vegeta's ears, and his whole body trembled!

When he had arrived on Earth, his Battle Power had been only three million.

And it had taken him nearly twenty years to reach that level!

But Gran?

Gran had possessed a Battle Power of 50 billion more than twenty years ago!

That enormous gap finally forced Vegeta to face reality. He, the Saiyan Prince, couldn't hold a candle to Gran!
