He had merely devoured his counterpart from this timeline, yet he had gained such power. If he devoured Android 17 and the others from this timeline as well, his strength would be absolutely unrivaled!

Over on Gran's side, he briefly explained Cell's situation to Bulma.

Bulma's eyes widened at once. "This Cell is actually from another timeline?!"
Her voice was full of shock. She had never expected things to turn out this way.

No wonder the humans in those towns had vanished before. They really had been devoured by Cell.
"He came to a third timeline, then devoured the version of himself from that third timeline... This guy..."
Goku thought of a possibility. What if he had happened to be away from Earth, and Cell had devoured all the Androids in this timeline?
That would have been an absolutely devastating blow to Earth!
The situation Goku imagined was actually quite similar to what had happened in the original story.
In the original story, he had been killed by Cell's self-destruction, and Gohan had ultimately been the one to turn the tide!
"Lord Gran, are you going to arrest him?" Bulma asked. After all, Lord Gran was still a member of the Time Patrol.
