"Hungry?"

With no further words, Ethan asked the same question he had back then.

The Ragdoll Cat nodded at him.

"Come on. There's still some pork belly and bread at home. Oh, right, we've got some Sour Cream, too."

"Meow~"

The Ragdoll Cat narrowed her eyes, smiling just as she used to. In three quick strides, she raced toward Ethan, sprang high into the air, and used the arm he held out to leap nimbly onto his shoulder. She found a comfortable position, then gently curled her fluffy tail around Ethan's neck like a scarf.

Once they got home, Miss Chloe sprang into action, too. She ran all the way down the street, first hauling the cauldron into her bedroom, then nudging the completely drunk Hagrid onto the sofa. No one knew what Hagrid was dreaming about, but he kept calling out, "Wifey, wifey!" Miss Chloe brought over a pillow and stuffed it into his arms, finally getting him to quiet down.

After that came Miss Chloe and Zhao Cai's first meeting.

Miss Chloe craned her neck, curiously sizing up the Ragdoll Cat perched on Ethan's shoulder, unwilling to get down. The Ragdoll Cat glared fiercely back at her, then tightened her tail around Ethan's neck as if staking her claim.

With his back to the cat and the chicken, Ethan had no idea what was going on. He was leisurely humming a tune, singing, "Today's a fine day for stew~," as he poured the seasonings into the pot one by one.

Old Sen's Stew was his signature dish.

As far as he remembered, it was Zhao Cai's favorite. He couldn't help marveling at how accurate the fortune-teller's prediction had been. This really was an unexpected reunion with an old friend.
