Besides, vampires weren't immortal. Most still died, though they lived much longer than humans.

If becoming a vampire were all it took to live forever, immortality would be far too cheap.

Vampires were divided into several factions.

Some conservative vampires drank only animal blood, while others fed on human blood.

Then there were the mutated vampires in Blade, half human and half monster.

In one region, vampires could enter a house only if someone invited them in.

And in The Great Detective: Mystery of Monsters, vampires had degenerated completely into monsters.

The vampires Angelica created through witchcraft and curses were another distinct kind.

Those were just the varieties Li Dan knew of so far. The girl from earlier was Isabella Swan, the heroine of Twilight City. He hadn't expected to run into her on a plane.
