"Selene, let the demon lord come in."

Victor's voice came from the depths. Only then did Selene lead Li Dan inside. It was a dim passageway hidden within the palace's secret tunnels.

The coffin lid was forcibly shoved aside by a bluish-black hand. A wrinkled corpse sat up, its body like a mountain of flesh.

The Vampire Progenitor stood nearly three meters tall. Its skin was corpse-gray and deathly pale, while bluish-black veins crawled over its torso like earthworms. Even its blocky muscles carried an ashen hue, hard as stone.

It did not have a single hair. Its scalp was stretched tightly against its skull, smooth and gleaming even behind its ears. Its ears resembled a bat's, and blood vessels filled the whites of its eyes. When it stared at someone, its eyeballs did not move; it only turned its head stiffly, like a rusted puppet.

Its appearance was terrifying, somewhat like the Evil Spirit Wendigo before Fusion, though even uglier.

Judging from the aura it gave off alone, it was already infinitely close to the guard level.
