A Brutal Annabelle and a House Full of Ghosts

Night fell.

Warm yellow lights came on inside the house, and everyone gathered around the dining table, laughing and chatting over dinner.

Drew shoveled food into his mouth while whispering to Li Dan.

"I heard Mr. Warren gave you Annabelle. Can you show her to me?"

Li Dan refused. "No. Annabelle will get angry. You know how dangerous she is, Drew."

Drew refused to give up. "Then will Annabelle take part in tonight's exorcism?"

Li Dan gave him an ambiguous answer.

"We'll see."

That left Drew itching with curiosity. He had seen exorcisms before, but never a demon going up against another demon.

That would be so much more interesting than watching virtual creatures fight.

After dinner.

Everyone sat in the living room to let their food settle.

With Li Dan around, the Warrens were undeniably much more relaxed than before. Even Drew, the detective, and Chris were all fooling around.

Sitting on the sofa, Li Dan exchanged a few words with Diana.

Crowded into the living room, the group actually passed the first half of the night in peace.
