Black Forest: Witchcraft

Black Forest.

The moment they entered the forest, they found that their compasses had gone haywire. They could only barely rely on the sun to determine their direction.

Li Dan swept his gaze around, vaguely sensing something. He looked up and saw a deer carcass hanging from a tree branch, skinned and dripping with blood.

The others looked in his direction.

"Ah!"

Li Su-hui was the one who screamed. She couldn't help crying out when she saw the deer carcass.

Luke and the others glanced back, only feeling that this Asian woman was making a fuss over nothing and had poor nerves. Then they turned back to their discussion.

"This was probably killed by a hunter."

"Why would a hunter hang his prey in a tree?"

"It's still dripping blood. It was just killed."

"Buddy, that means we should leave."

Xu Xian-jing saw the deer carcass. She didn't scream, but she did feel a little sick.

"Oppa, this doesn't look like it was done by a person. Why would a hunter waste the carcass and hide?"

She still had some common sense.

Li Dan stared at the carcass, wondering whether the Evil God liked eating deer too.

"Maybe a deity did it."

"How could a deity do something like this?" Xu Xian-jing still held great reverence for ghosts and gods. After all, Korean exorcists were famous and numerous. (There were also a lot of frauds and charlatans.)

Li Dan gave a noncommittal hum, said nothing more, and continued onward.

By afternoon, dark clouds had filled the sky.
