Under a large umbrella, blue-haired Launch considerately held it, tilting almost the entire canopy toward Broly, not minding at all that her own shoulder was getting damp from the drizzle.
Her other hand intimately wrapped around Broly's solid arm, her body pressed close to his, her face beaming with a content and gentle smile.
As if just being by Broly's side made even a rainy day bright.
Not far away, Master Roshi stood alone under an old umbrella, watching the pair of figures huddled together in the rain, then glancing at his own solitary form. His white beard twitched as he suddenly felt utterly superfluous, like an awkward third wheel.
Master Roshi couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
The women those two brats Goku and Krillin brought back had all ended up with Broly—that lazy kid who only cared about eating, sleeping, and playing video games!
What did I do to deserve this... I must have owed him in a past life!
"Creak..."
A yellow taxi rolled over the wet pavement, stopping not far away, splashing up tiny droplets of water.
The door opened, and Bulma gracefully stepped out, expertly popping open a stylish floral umbrella.
Little Oolong and Puar also hopped out of the car nimbly, looking around at the familiar yet somewhat strange surroundings.
"Ah, it really is Bulma." Launch, sharp-eyed, waved from a distance, her voice sweet and gentle.
"Long time no see, everyone!" Bulma smiled and waved back, her gaze sweeping over the group before lingering on Broly, who stood beside Launch, his figure even taller and more robust. A flicker of barely noticeable admiration crossed her eyes as she couldn't help but praise, "Broly really... keeps getting more handsome... that presence, that build..."
"That's right... our Broly is the best!" Hearing someone compliment Broly made Launch happier than if she'd been praised herself. She giggled, her face full of pride, and tightened her grip on Broly's arm.
"So, you two..." Bulma leaned in closer, a gossipy grin on her face, her eyes darting between Launch and Broly. She lowered her voice and asked, "When are you planning to tie the knot? You've been inseparable for three years now."
"Well... no rush, no rush..." At that, Launch's cheeks instantly flushed bright red, like ripe apples. She shyly lowered her head and murmured softly.
"Speaking of which, you two... have you done it yet?" Seeing Launch's bashful reaction, Bulma felt a playful urge. A mischievous smile spread across her face as she nudged Launch with her elbow, while making a slightly suggestive gesture with her other hand that only they understood.
"What?" Launch lifted her head, her blue eyes full of innocent confusion as she looked at Bulma's hand gesture, tilting her head. "Is that gesture... some special way of greeting? I've never seen it before."
"What does it mean?" Broly also looked at Bulma with a blank expression, his clear eyes devoid of any impurity, completely clueless about what she was hinting at.
"I'm asking, have you two gotten together? You know... a deeper kind of together?" Bulma looked at these two—one overly innocent, the other impossibly dense—and couldn't help but press her hand to her forehead. She rephrased it more bluntly, smiling at Broly.
"Aren't we together now?" Broly looked even more confused, pointing at Launch, who was clinging tightly to his arm as if attached, and stated it as a matter of fact.
Bulma: "..."
Bulma felt like she'd hit an unprecedented wall in communication.
Is that what I meant?!
Is this guy really clueless, or is he playing dumb?!
"Don't just focus on Broly!" Master Roshi chuckled, seizing the chance to sidle up. His eyes, hidden behind his sunglasses, gleamed with a familiar glint as he looked Bulma up and down, taking in her increasingly slender and alluring figure. He couldn't help but swallow and let out an admiring sigh, "Wow, girls really do change as they grow up—getting prettier and prettier! Those curves... that scale... truly astonishing! Let your master appreciate it properly!"
"Ah! You pervy old man! Stay away from me! Don't touch me!" Bulma, long immune to Master Roshi's antics, reacted swiftly. She shot her elbow backward, hitting his approaching face with precise and forceful impact!
"Bam!"
"Ouch!" Master Roshi yelped in pain, clutching his sore nose as he stumbled back a couple of steps, muttering under his breath, "Still got that temper! Not cute at all anymore!"
"Hmph! At your age, still so improper! No respect for your years!" Bulma snorted irritably, hands on her hips, glaring angrily. "Look at Broly over there... how honest and well-behaved! Good thing he's been with you and hasn't been led astray!"
"Him? That clueless blockhead..." Master Roshi glanced at Broly, who was still out of the loop, and let out a meaningful sigh, his tone dripping with frustration. "He's got such a stunning, gentle, and considerate beauty by his side every day—three years! And what's the result? Every day, all he thinks about is eating together, sleeping together, and playing games together!"
"Really? They've been sleeping together... and nothing substantial has happened?" Bulma's eyes went wide with shock at Master Roshi's words. She covered her mouth as if hearing something unbelievable, looking Broly up and down like he was some prehistoric creature. "They haven't even... kissed? How do they hold back? That's some incredible self-control!"
"Maybe... maybe they don't know the specific procedure? Or... where to put things?" Master Roshi stroked his chin with a contemplative look, leaning in to whisper his analysis in Bulma's ear with mock seriousness.
Bulma's pretty face flushed bright red, like she'd been burned. She shot Master Roshi a glare. "That comment... is a bit hard to respond to! You old lecher!"
"What are you two even talking about?" Broly listened to their murmuring, not understanding a single word.
"My mom once told me," Launch suddenly spoke up, her cheeks still flushed, but her tone very serious, almost educational, "that if a girl and a boy kiss, they'll have a baby... so, something this important has to wait until we're married."
With that, Launch nodded firmly, as if emphasizing the gravity of the matter.
Bulma felt dizzy after hearing that, nearly fainting on the spot.
She pressed a hand to her forehead, completely done with talking.
What kind of nonsense is this?!
That's way too old-fashioned an education!
Master Roshi watched this pair of clueless sweethearts, shaking his head and sighing, feeling utterly drained.
After a brief silence.
Bulma seemed to remember something and leaned in close to Master Roshi's ear, whispering so only he could hear: "What about... that blonde Launch? Isn't she more... forward? Or did she..."
