"Nothing."
Seeing his wife and child, Dr. Brief replied with a calm, gentle smile. As he spoke, he introduced the two of them to Mrs. Brief.
"These two children came from space to visit our home. We were testing a device just now, and there was a small accident!"
"Welcome, you two little ones!"
Hearing her husband, Mrs. Brief looked around at the surrounding wreckage, her gaze lingering briefly on Rhode and Aila.
Then she smiled brightly and welcomed them.
"Mother, I want down!"
At that moment, the little girl in Mrs. Brief's arms cried out in a childish voice. She struggled free and jumped to the ground, then stumbled over to Rhode and Aila. Tilting up her adorable little face, she studied them with curiosity-filled eyes.
So this was baby Bulma?
Seeing the little girl's short blue hair, along with the fact that this was Dr. Brief's home, Rhode did not need to think much to guess that this three- or four-year-old was Bulma, the girl who had set the entire Dragon Ball story in motion.
"Hello, little sister. This toy is for you!"
Little Bulma was obedient and adorable. Seeing Bulma as a child was immensely interesting to Rhode, so he pulled out a puzzle toy from the things he had prepared beforehand and stuffed it into her hands.
Aila carefully examined Bulma again and again. Seeing that this Earthling toddler had a Power Level of only one, then looking at how much Rhode clearly valued her, she could not help curling her lips.
She simply could not understand why he was doing something so meaningless.
"What's your name, little sister?"
Aila's reaction naturally did not escape Rhode's notice. However, he merely smiled without explaining, crouched down, and looked at Little Bulma as he asked.
"Bulma. I-I'm Bulma!"
Little Bulma was somewhat shy around strangers at this point and was not yet as outgoing as she would become later.
After gently pinching Little Bulma's cheek, Rhode rose and walked over to Dr. Brief, handing him the things and scientific materials he had gathered.
"Doctor, thank you for your help. These things are my payment."
"What are these? Hmm? There are actually plans for a Gravity Chamber in here!"
Dr. Brief did not refuse the things Rhode brought over in the slightest. He even seemed somewhat impatient. After examining the technological products, he immediately began reading the scientific materials.
Seeing so much technological knowledge that he had never encountered before, and had never even imagined, Dr. Brief became wildly excited. He muttered to himself and gestured animatedly, looking like a madman.
As for the Gravity Chamber construction plans, Rhode had deliberately collected them from the technological planets he had passed through earlier.
Although Earth did not yet have Gravity Chamber manufacturing technology, it was not particularly advanced in the universe. Obtaining the relevant technology had been easy.
After a long while, Dr. Brief finally emerged from that crazed state. Even so, his face remained full of excitement, and his eyes practically glowed red as he looked at Rhode with even greater fervor.
"Little Rhode, don't worry. I'll definitely help you build the Gravity Chamber! If you find any new technology in the future, make sure to bring it to me!"
"Uh, all right, Doc—"
"All right, make yourself at home. I'm heading to the lab first. Mrs., entertain them for a while!"
Before Rhode could finish speaking, Dr. Brief tossed out those words, picked up the things Rhode had brought, and ran into the nearby laboratory, which remained completely intact despite Aila's Ki Burst.
Watching Dr. Brief disappear before his eyes, Rhode scratched his head and looked at Mrs. Brief and Little Bulma beside him. He had never expected things to turn out like this.
"Hehehe, Little Rhode, don't mind him. He's always like that!"
Seeing the two children staring in astonishment, Mrs. Brief sweetly explained Dr. Brief's behavior. Then she invited them to have tea in the still-intact house some distance away.
Faced with Mrs. Brief's invitation, and seeing the buildings around them in shambles, Rhode felt slightly embarrassed and chose to refuse.
"Thank you for the invitation, Mrs. Brief, but we still have some matters to handle, so we won't impose for now."
With that, Rhode directly grabbed Aila and shot into the sky. After picking a general direction, they flew into the distance and vanished from the two women's sight In a breath.
"Rhode, do you want to train in the Gravity Chamber?"
Following at Rhode's side, Aila had only known that he had collected some scientific materials. She had not known what they specifically were. Now that he was having an Earth scientist build a Gravity Chamber, there was no need to think about it—he was definitely planning to use it to increase his strength. However, she doubted the method.
"Is a Gravity Chamber really useful?"
Hearing Aila's doubts, Rhode rolled his eyes at her. "Take out the word 'really.' It's absolutely useful. If you can move freely and fight without any hindrance in an environment with hundreds or even thousands of times normal gravity..."
"Then congratulations. The current Frieza would be nothing but trash in front of you!"
"You weren't lying to me?!"
Hearing that training in a Gravity Chamber could increase her Power Level by hundreds of thousands, or perhaps even more, allowing her to far surpass Frieza, Aila found it hard to believe. It was simply too unreal!
"No. The prerequisite is that you can truly move freely in that kind of high-gravity environment, or even fight in it."
After receiving Rhode's confirmation, Aila immediately grew impatient to train in the Gravity Chamber and reach the point where she could defeat Frieza in an instant.
But then she realized something was wrong. "Then why did we come to Earth? There are countless planets in the universe that can build Gravity Chambers. Why go so far when there are closer options?"
"Naturally, because this planet has things that other planets do not!"
Gravity Chambers were indeed easy to build, but Dragon Balls existed on only a handful of planets. Earth was the only one that was almost entirely free of threats. Moreover, besides the Dragon Balls, Earth's cultivation methods and Senzu Beans were also things Rhode was determined to obtain.
"Found it!"
Aila had wanted to say more, but Rhode's expression brightened. He immediately adjusted course and flew swiftly toward the sea.
A quarter of an hour later, on a Lonely Island in the middle of the ocean, a hunched old man leaning on a cane stared at the two children who had landed on his territory. His forehead was covered in sweat, and he felt both shocked and uneasy.
Could that terrifying Aura I sensed earlier have belonged to that little girl?
Master Roshi sensed the terrifying power within Aila's body and was utterly stunned.
"W-what do you want?"
Feeling the terrifying power contained within Aila's tiny body, even though Master Roshi was a grandmaster whose state of mind had long ceased to be moved by ordinary things, Cold sweat still poured from him at this moment.
Perhaps learning how to cultivate will become much easier!
Seeing Master Roshi like this, Rhode glanced at Aila beside him and secretly thought to himself.
He did not beat around the bush. Looking at Master Mutian, he directly stated his purpose. "Master Mutian, my name is Rhode, and this is Aila. We came because of your reputation to learn your method of cultivating Ki."
"Learn cultivation?"
Hearing Rhode's words, Master Roshi's uneasy heart immediately calmed down, and the Cold sweat on his cheeks stopped flowing. He looked at the two of them in confusion—or rather, at the terrifyingly powerful Aila.
"Are you sure you're not toying with an old man like me?"
