Rhode refused Frieza’s recall and brought Aila to Earth to train, seeking ways to increase their strength and prepare for Frieza. After mastering Great Ape control and collecting the Dragon Balls, Rhode made a wish that let them survive in space and left the story preparing to travel to Planet Namek.

• Rhode recovered his memories on Planet Rhyner, defeated the Lainar, and persuaded Aila to follow him rather than return to Planet Vegeta.
• Rhode and Aila traveled to Earth, where he asked Dr. Brief to build a Gravity Chamber and trained with Master Roshi and Mr. Popo.
• Rhode used Senzu Beans to recover from near-fatal injuries and deliberately pushed Aila close to death, raising both Saiyans’ strength while Popo helped Aila improve her ki control.
• Rhode learned to remain conscious as a Great Ape, then helped Aila transform and subdued her when she rampaged.
• Rhode gathered all seven Dragon Balls and wished for himself and Aila to survive harsh environments such as outer space.
• Rhode and Aila trained for months, including under fifty times gravity, before Rhode revealed his Power Level exceeded thirty thousand and proposed traveling to Planet Namek.

Rhode and Aila acquired new abilities on Namek, then faced Frieza as he destroyed Planet Vegeta. After escaping to the Time Chamber, they traveled to Planet Yardrat to learn Spirit Control and its techniques.

• Rhode and Aila reached Namek, gained the Great Elder’s trust, and used Porunga’s wishes to obtain Super Instant Transmission and a portable Time Chamber.
• After Rhode brought Kami to Namek, the Saganbo Pirates arrived, and Rhode and Aila killed Shimorekka, Yunba, and the other attacking pirates.
• The Great Elder unlocked Rhode and Aila’s potential, and they left Namek with their power greatly increased.
• King Vegeta’s ambush against Frieza failed, and Frieza ordered the destruction of Planet Vegeta as Bardock tried to stop him.
• Aila deflected Frieza’s attack on Planet Vegeta while Rhode challenged Frieza, but Frieza transformed and proved far stronger than Rhode.
• Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta, and Rhode rescued Aila before taking her to the Time Chamber to recover and train.
• Rhode and Aila left the Time Chamber for Planet Yardrat, where Pybara agreed to let them study Spirit Control and assigned Hazka to teach them.
• Hazka taught Rhode and Aila to balance Spirit Control on sharp cone tips, and Rhode mastered the exercise before being told to move between them.

Rhode completed his training on Planet Namek, returned to Earth, and built a Martial Arts Hall while studying spacetime and seeking ways to extend his life. After reforming Dr. Gero and recruiting him, Rhode disappeared, leaving Aila worried about his fate.

• Rhode mastered several techniques under Pybara, left Planet Namek, and returned to Earth, where he reunited with the Brief family and met Gyak.
• Rhode visited Goku and Grandpa Gohan, then fought Aila after she returned from training, and he defeated and healed her before seeking a near-death recovery on King Cold's planet and having the Great Elder unlock his potential.
• Rhode planned and built a Martial Arts Hall beside Capsule Corp, trained with Aila, and explained the conditions for becoming a Super Saiyan.
• Rhode tested Dr. Omori's Time Machine, studied its Time Stop effect, and later gained knowledge of Time Machines and Space-Time Nodes from Porunga.
• Rhode appointed Bruce to manage the Martial Arts Hall and set out with Aila to address Dr. Gero, collecting the Dragon Balls along the way.
• Rhode summoned Shenron to reform Dr. Gero, recruited the scientist and his assistant, and returned to training and studying Space-Time Power.
• Half a year later, Aila sensed that Rhode had suddenly disappeared and was overwhelmed by worry and emptiness.

Rhode traveled through parallel worlds, helped Goku and Gohan confront threats from Turles, Slug, the Androids, and Cell, and trained Gohan to unlock Super Saiyan 2. After restoring Earth’s survivors and reuniting Gohan with Goku, Rhode took Goku through a Space-Time Node and left Gohan information about future revivals.

• Rhode arrived on Earth during Turles’s attack, rescued Gohan, healed the Earth Warriors, destroyed the Sacred Tree, and killed Turles.
• Rhode learned the Kaio-ken and trained Goku for his future fight with Frieza before traveling through a Space-Time Node to another world.
• Rhode saved Goku from Slug, then left that world and encountered Android 17, Android 18, and a one-armed Gohan in a devastated future.
• Rhode trained Gohan in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, helping him master Super Saiyan Full Power and grow strong enough to face the Androids.
• Rhode used Perfect Cell and staged a crisis to push Gohan into Super Saiyan 2, then explained his plan and helped Gohan kill Imperfect Cell.
• Rhode took Gohan to New Planet Namek, where Gohan revived the Androids’ victims and Rhode used Porunga’s wishes to unlock his potential.
• Rhode reunited Gohan and Chi-Chi with Goku on King Kai’s Planet, then took Goku through a Space-Time Node and secretly gave Gohan information about future revivals.
