Luo Li is a strikingly beautiful woman with long black hair, fair skin, and a curvaceous figure. During her first meeting with Liu Bing, she wears white stockings and presents herself with a cute yet charming demeanor 21.

Personality

Luo Li is proactive and opportunistic. She takes the lead in arranging and paying for her date with Liu Bing, believing that opportunities should be seized when they appear 21 22. Her initial interest in Liu Bing is driven by hunger, but she nonetheless attempts to approach him through an ordinary blind date rather than indiscriminately attacking strangers 21.

Despite becoming a Ghoul, Luo Li resists feeding on humans for days, surviving on coffee until hunger overwhelms her self-control. Liu Bing considers this restraint proof of considerable willpower, as she carries no malevolent aura and has not killed anyone 22 23. She deeply despises her Ghoul nature and immediately asks Liu Bing to remove it once she learns he is capable of doing so 23.

She is also practical and resourceful. After the Owl Ghoul's intrusion draws police attention, Luo Li uses her family connections to have the officers leave without exposing the supernatural events in her apartment 25.

Following her introduction to Chang Xi and Xi He's circle, Luo Li becomes more curious about their supernatural games and activities. She readily asks to join Chang Xi's miniature world and later participates in building-block activities with Chang Xi and Xiao Xueyi, although the extreme fullness caused by Xi He's meals continues to frighten her 78 79 88.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Blind Date and Ghoul Crisis

Luo Li meets Liu Bing through a blind date arranged by Lin Huijuan. Though she proposes that they begin as friends, Liu Bing immediately recognizes that her eagerness stems from the hunger of a Ghoul seeking food 21. She leads their date, takes his hand during a movie, and invites him to her apartment once her hunger becomes unbearable 22.

At the apartment, Luo Li loses control and attacks Liu Bing in her Ghoul form. Liu Bing avoids her attacks while noticing that she deliberately avoids destroying her possessions. When her rationality begins to fail, he suspends her in mid-air with his ability and acknowledges the perseverance she showed by refusing to prey on humans 22.

Cure and the Spiritual-Energy Incident

After regaining her senses, Luo Li admits that she has survived on coffee for days rather than eat human flesh. Liu Bing produces a feast of Hong Huang dishes; merely breathing in their spiritual energy relieves her hunger 23. Upon learning that spiritual energy and cultivation exist, she asks Liu Bing to remove her Ghoul identity, which he does by destroying the Ghoul cells within her body 23.

An Owl Ghoul subsequently intrudes in pursuit of the food's spiritual energy. He explodes after consuming a piece of braised pork that exceeds his capacity to absorb spiritual energy, leaving Luo Li frightened of both the food and Liu Bing's power 24.

Encounter with the Moon Palace Deities

Luo Li's apartment becomes the setting for the arrivals of Chang'e, Chang Xi, and Xi He. She learns that they are mythological gods and initially assumes Liu Bing must also be one, only for him to describe himself as an immortal rather than a god 25 27.

During Xi He's meal, Luo Li becomes so overfull that she can barely move. Xi He nevertheless approves of her and designates her as a dining companion, a role Luo Li accepts with reluctant fear 27.

Chang Xi's Miniature Game World

After becoming familiar with Chang Xi and Xiao Xueyi, Luo Li is proposed as one of the people who can help Chang Xi build scenery in a lower-threshold version of Chang Xi's miniature world 57. When Chang Xi completes a new small world, Luo Li eagerly asks to participate and enters it alongside Xiao Xueyi 78.

Luo Li later plays with building blocks alongside Chang Xi and the others in a separate plane while watching the events unfolding in the game world 88. The food she receives as Xi He's dining companion also strengthens her body substantially, though she remains intimidated by the meals' extreme portions 79.
