East of Planet Devil's Den, near the Askari Legion, thick dust and ice crystals filled the air. In a region shrouded by nebulae, a young star burned fiercely.

This was a star system unknown to outsiders.

Within the habitable zone where life could exist, a giant red gas planet slowly traveled along a long, narrow orbit. A gas planet was naturally unsuitable for life, but five satellites circled this one, and one of them was an Earth-like rocky planet, roughly the same size as Earth.

This planet was called Naxia, the only planet in the entire star system where civilization had been born.

But now, beautiful Naxia was far from peaceful. Because of resource issues, its native civilization had erupted into a war of annihilation.

Boom!

A shell packed with tremendous energy slammed into a mountain. The ground shuddered violently, and the mountain instantly collapsed. Tumbling rocks were hurled outward, smashing into the earth and kicking up a vast cloud of dry dust.

The two sides in the battle belonged to different armies. To fight for the planet's resources, forces great and small joined in, forming even larger combat corps. As the war dragged on, the two sides became tangled together, like two surging torrents converging here with overwhelming momentum.

Because it was trapped within a dense nebula, Naxia had been forever cut off from the outside universe. A lonely planet could not bear the consumption of a civilization.

The conflict grew more and more intense. The races on the planet had already gone mad with killing, and all kinds of destructive weapons were sent onto the battlefield. They had forgotten that they had only one mother planet.
