Background

Askari was created by Dr. Ruka and his Podo Race copies as the culmination of their revenge project against the Saiyans. More than one hundred thousand embryos failed before Askari became the sole successful result. Her name means “guardian” in the Podo language, reflecting her intended role as their ultimate weapon 288.

Born with a battle power of 5,000, Askari was subjected to combat training from infancy against modified life-forms, Saiyan copies, and cosmic warriors. Before she could fully understand her purpose, Roland used Red Shenron to erase Dr. Ruka and halt Saiyan-related research, leaving her alone in the laboratory without food or caretakers 288 289.

After surviving on her own, Askari released roughly one hundred Saiyan Clones from cultivation pods. Their control chips recognized her as the highest surviving authority: the force included ninety third-class warriors, seven second-class warriors, and three first-class warriors with million-level battle power 297. Fearing the Sephiria Force after learning it had exterminated Dr. Ruka's other clones, she fled toward the East Galaxy and attempted to establish a force of her own 351.

Roland and Sephiria traced the clone activity after Lulu reported Saiyan-like invaders in the Devil's Den Star Region. Askari immediately recognized Sephiria as her mother; despite Sephiria's initial suspicion and hostility, Roland and Sephiria ultimately accepted Askari as their daughter 354 355 356. Her status as Princess Askari and heir to Planet Sadala was subsequently announced across the surrounding powers 357.

Askari initially appeared as a delicate, fair-skinned Saiyan infant with black hair and clear eyes 288. As an adult, she is 1.7 meters tall with a slender, graceful build and a strong resemblance to Sephiria 594 596.

Her difficult early life, including periods of hunger and isolation, helped forge the determination that later drove her strength 356 377.

She is proud of her royal status and openly ambitions to inherit Planet Sadala, but she also insists on building achievements independent of her parents. Rather than remaining safely on Sadala, she requested her own territory and force, believing hardship was necessary for her development 361 362.

Despite her ferocity, Askari can present herself with the restraint and bearing expected of a princess. She is polite before the Universe 6 Namekians, values capable subordinates, and takes interest in cultivating Cell Jr. after making him loyal to her 623 625.
