Android 18 lightly bit her lip and murmured to herself.
After Askari left, Android 18 sat with her arms around her knees and thought for a long time. Warm sunlight spilled over her, setting off her flawless face. Only when the sun had warmed her skin a little did she rise and head toward the villa.
Androids lived much longer than ordinary humans. Being in her twenties and approaching thirty might not count as young for an Earthling anymore, and they might have to start worrying about major life decisions.
But for Android 18, her youth had only just begun. There was still a very long road ahead, and she did not need to worry too much about such things.
It was true that, like Askari, as her strength grew, her standards gradually rose as well. Fewer and fewer people were able to catch her eye. But Android 18 did not have Askari's bold idea of raising one herself if she could not find one. Her thinking was still relatively conservative; she still hoped to find someone from among the people around her.
Though that possibility did not look very high.
Among all those people, Luo Fei was actually a fairly suitable choice. They were close in age and strength. But for some reason, Android 18 was rather resistant to the idea and had no desire to develop things further.
Even she herself did not know the exact reason!
"Forget it. I won't think about it so much. Whether I marry or not isn't that important. It's all Askari's fault. Why did she have to bring up this topic for no reason?"
Android 18 shook her head and threw all her worries to the back of her mind.
