History

Opening Siege and the Golden Rankings

The Heavenly Dao Golden Ranking appears while Tang San and the Shrek members are celebrating in the Heaven Dou command tent outside Jialing Pass. Its arrival interrupts their celebration and draws them outside to watch the sky 1.

The Martial Soul Empire has already suffered heavy losses, leaving Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue as its two remaining deities. The defenders view the ranking rewards as a possible means of reversing their fortunes 2 3. After strengthening himself with the Sea God’s domain, Tang San orders a full-scale assault; Hu Liena alerts Bibi Dong, who prepares to defend the pass 20.

By the final reveal of the Exotic Treasures Ranking, the defensive line has been breached in several places and casualties are severe. A commander estimates that the pass can hold for only another hour. Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue temporarily set aside their hostility to fight Tang San together outside the fortress 42 43.

The Taichu Sword Turns the Battle

After both defenders are struck down, Qian Renxue retreats into Jialing Pass to retrieve the Taichu Sword, while Bibi Dong holds Tang San back. Lu Ming had instructed Qian Renxue to use the sword whenever she faced an otherwise unsolvable danger 44.

The sword’s awakening sends a golden pillar through the Worship Hall’s dome and into the sky. Its aura reaches the Star Dou Great Forest and the Extreme North, drawing Gu Yuena’s attention toward Jialing Pass 47 48.

Qian Renxue returns to confront Tang San and destroys his Asura domain with a single slash 57 68. Despite his advancement to Level 151 and the God King realm, the Taichu Sword remains decisive: a later account confirms that Qian Renxue kills him during the battle, after which his Life-Saving Hair revives him 64 121.

Gu Yuena’s Intervention and Lu Ming’s Arrival

Gu Yuena approaches with Ditian and Bi Ji, following the Taichu Sword’s energy. They witness Qian Renxue suppressing Tang San above the pass 73. Gu Yuena subsequently demands the sword, but Qian Renxue refuses to surrender her master’s weapon, leading to another confrontation 100 103 104.

Lu Ming later reaches the fortress with Ah Yin, Ye Lingling, and Bai Xiuxiu. Spirit Kite Douluo challenges them near the walls before Qian Renxue learns of his arrival and rushes to meet him. She personally escorts the group into the city 146 151.

Gu Yuena also comes to Jialing Pass seeking Lu Ming and announces herself to the Martial Soul Hall elders as his wife. Their reunion takes place outside the pass, where they embrace before Bibi Dong, Qian Renxue, and his other companions 168 174 175.

The Tsunami Assault

Unable to break through the strengthened defenders, Tang San travels to Vast Sea City and summons seawater to flood Jialing Pass. Ning Rongrong protests the danger to the villages and civilians along the route 177 182.

The approaching tsunami consumes hills, forests, and villages. Its vibrations shake Jialing Pass hard enough to dislodge stone from the walls, causing panic among soldiers and civilians 193.

Bibi Dong prepares to charge forward, but Lu Ming intervenes first. With a gesture and the command “stop,” he suspends the ten-thousand-zhang flood in mid-air, preventing the city’s destruction 194.

Heaven Dou’s Surrender

During the ensuing confrontation, Lu Ming leaves for Sea God Island while those at Jialing Pass watch through the sky screen. He then opens a spatial rift and returns across the immense distance almost immediately 203 208 209.

Tang Hao arrives at the walls and unleashes Explode Rings against Lu Ming’s spatial blockade 211. After Lu Ming defeats Tang San and Tang Hao, Qian Renxue threatens the Heaven Dou forces with extermination if they continue resisting. Emperor Xue Beng surrenders, and the million-strong army kneels before the pass 213 214.

The aftermath leaves Jialing Pass silent, with defeated soldiers and nobles awaiting their fate outside the camp. Lu Ming subsequently orders the troops to assemble and march on Heaven Dou Imperial City 214 215.
