Background / History

Thirty thousand years before the present storyline, Gu Yuena was severely injured. Lu Ming found and healed her, restoring both her and a withered Ancient Life Tree through the use of his own golden blood. After she took human form, he taught her human knowledge, literacy, and elemental control. 156 157

Lu Ming later took a fatal blow for Gu Yuena. Believing that her human husband had eventually died of old age, she spent a long period recovering beneath the Lake of Life in the Star Dou Great Forest while carrying the burden of the soul beast race. His presumed death remained the source of her loneliness and her resolve to reverse life and death. 88 139 158

The Sky Screen's rewards restored her strength, supplied her with the Dragon God's Heart, and elevated her into the God King Realm. She also obtained the seed of an Ancient Life Tree, intending to cultivate it with the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well's energy as a means to revive Lu Ming. 17 25 40 122
