Background
Xu Mingwei is the eldest son of Xu Chuan and Bai Jing. At five, he and his younger brother Xu Mingyuan waited for their father to return home and helped observe the family’s daily work in the kitchen. 1
As a child, he trained in the Lesser Dragon Elephant Technique and awakened the Destiny Talents Innate Divine Strength and Eagle Eye. By age nine, he could independently practice the technique’s full breathing method and twelve forms; his physical strength and sharp gaze already intimidated both children and adults. 8
Xu Chuan entrusted him with persuading Xu Mingyuan to accept mandatory martial training, establishing Mingwei early as a reliable elder brother within the second generation. 15 By nineteen, Xu Chuan was preparing him to manage family affairs during his own attempt to break through to the Innate realm. 35
Appearance
Xu Mingwei is described as a dignified young man whose sharp, deep eyes can make others feel as though they are being pierced by a blade. He normally conceals this edge behind a restrained, low-key bearing. 8 33
- At age nine, he was nearly 1.4 meters tall. 8
- His eyes can take on a dark-gold color when he fully employs his archery abilities. 222
- After forming his Golden Core, he appeared as a middle-aged man in dark ink robes, with a sharp gleam hidden in his eyes. 323
Personality
Xu Mingwei is solemn, composed, and habitually restrained. Even as a child, he preferred to keep his strength hidden; as an adult, he advises caution while remaining willing to act decisively when the Xu Family is threatened. 8 39
He is strongly protective of his relatives. He publicly warns the Heartless Young Master Liu Wuqing against targeting Xu Mingshu, and he accepts responsibility for guiding younger Xu Family members during dangerous expeditions. 205 204

- Four Symbols Strangling — A more dangerous killing move that he reserves for serious opponents. 204
