"First, return to the Purgatory Sulfur Plane." Benjamin planned out the rest of his itinerary.
"The Black Giant Legion's socialization improvements need to be adjusted according to the Sickle-Skull Race's research data. The energy conversion efficiency of the Incense Divinity Path also has room for improvement... And the new training plan I envisioned—if it succeeds, it might let my cultivation speed advance another step."
He walked straight into the teleportation array on the other side, activated the spatial coordinates, and carried out a plane transfer.
In the core laboratory of the Purgatory Sulfur Plane, the first thing Benjamin did after stepping out of the teleportation array was take a deep breath.
The air was thick with the familiar scent of sulfur, mingled with faint spiritual fluctuations produced by the operation of the Incense Divinity Path.
The domed ceiling of the reception room housing the teleportation array was made of transparent crystal, through which the eternally dark-red sky outside could be seen.
"A hundred years..."
Arriving at the main laboratory, Benjamin looked around. The interior remained exactly as it had been before he left.
The automated maintenance system had kept every instrument in standby mode. The floor was spotless, and even the several elemental crystals on the experiment bench, used to test the stability of Rune Artifacts, remained where they had been when he departed.
He took out his Magic Network Terminal. It was continuously emitting faint vibrations—reports on a century of operations were being automatically submitted by the various functional modules of the Purgatory Sulfur Plane upon detecting their master's return.
Benjamin did not inspect them immediately. Instead, he first walked to the control console on the western side of the laboratory.
