On Ula'ula Island.
Under the arrangements of the local Island King, Mora, a former International Criminal Police officer, quite a few human-style buildings had been constructed for Trainers taking on the Island Challenge.
Mora himself had also settled on the island long-term, helping Tapu Bulu select Trainers qualified to master Z-Power.
"Mr... Mr. Mora, this is bad!!"
Today, as Mora basked in the sun, a Trainer undergoing the Island Challenge under Mora's guidance suddenly came running over in a panic.
The Trainer was in his early twenties and was the next World Championship's super ace for a small country. He had enormous potential and was well worth cultivating.
If he could master Z-Moves, he would be no weaker than a Champion from a major country.
However, this guy had one flaw: he was far too calm under pressure.
Mora frowned as he looked at the young Trainer with the unstable mindset. "What happened?"
"Heaven... heavens."
"An Overlord Pokémon suddenly appeared from the ruins and has been making its way here... That Pokémon is incredibly fierce. It knocked out three Overlord Pokémon along the way, and even defeated the Vikavolt that was giving me special training..."
"And it seems to be looking for other Overlord Pokémon to fight. What do we do next...?"
"Vikavolt went off to recover, so... does my Island Challenge continue??"
The challenger was panicking. What was this supposed to be? He had been training perfectly well, and now his entire plan had been thrown into disarray.
But he could not afford to provoke that Overlord Pokémon either. It was absurdly powerful; if he tried to stop it, he would probably only be scratching it.
He could not make heads or tails of this unfamiliar Overlord Pokémon's actions, so he could only seek help from Island King Mora.
