Ch. 426Pokémon Siege, Orange Disaster Warning

Fang Yuan investigated strange Water-type Pokémon approaching Binhai City and found that an unknown force seemed to be affecting their minds. On the fourth day of his training, a B-Class Disaster Warning announced a Pokémon siege near the Dragon Tower of the Azure Dragon Dojo.

  • Fang Yuan sensed something abnormal about a school of Tentacool and fled ashore with Milotic as they attacked.
  • Fang Yuan's team subdued the Tentacool and Tentacruel, but Eevee's hypnosis and Milotic's charm yielded no answers, and Fang Yuan could not sense their emotions.
  • Fang Yuan released the Pokémon and spent the following days investigating other Water-types that also resisted his Psychic Power.
  • Fang Yuan dismissed the danger as the authorities investigated and continued training Milotic along the coast.
  • On the fourth day, an orange B-Class Disaster Warning sounded as dozens of Gyarados and over a hundred other Water-type Pokémon gathered to create enormous waves near the Dragon Tower.

Ch. 427Frozen Sea Area, Fire-Type Elite Four? (Happy Spring Festival)

Fang Yuan joined Binhai City’s response to a mass Pokémon assault and watched Master Ni Feng’s weather tactics freeze a giant wave before it reached the shore. As the immediate threat was stopped, Fang Yuan wondered whether his varied team could make him a Fire-Type Elite Four.

  • The Trainer Association warned Binhai City that nearly a hundred Gyarados and other Pokémon were gathering offshore and raising enormous waves.
  • Fang Yuan asked to join the front line, but the organizer assigned him to the rear until Yun Miao told him to act with Yun Guancheng.
  • Yun Guancheng reassured Fang Yuan that Binhai City’s powerful Trainers could handle the disaster as the giant wave and Water Columns approached.
  • Master Ni Feng and Yun Miao’s Dragonair used a Hail Tactical System with support from other Master Level Trainers to freeze the wave and much of the nearby sea.
  • Fang Yuan admired the weather tactics and wondered whether his mixed Pokémon team could make him a Fire-Type Elite Four.

Ch. 428Prince of the Sea

After a massive Water-type Pokémon Siege, Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng learned that an unknown Pokémon might be behind the attacks, and Fang Yuan suspected it was Manaphy. Yun Guancheng was sent to the Dragon Den to investigate as a mist-shrouded island approached Binhai City.

  • Fang Yuan watched the trainers defeat nearly a thousand Water-type Pokémon, and Milotic asked to learn Hail and Ice-type moves instead of Rain Dance and Water-type moves.
  • Master Yun Miao told Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng that the Pokémon had seemed organized and might attack again, then showed them a blurry photograph of an unknown Pokémon.
  • Fang Yuan recognized the Pokémon in the photograph as likely Manaphy but could not determine why it might be connected to the siege.
  • Master Yun Miao sent Yun Guancheng to the Dragon Den with the photograph to seek information from its elder and the Pokémon of Dragon Island.
  • A mist-shrouded island moved toward Binhai City as a Dragonite Messenger flew from the Dragon Den carrying a map.

Ch. 429Dragonite Messenger, Fang Yuan!

Fang Yuan prepared to travel to the Dragon Den with Yun Guancheng after Master Yun Miao informed them that the Dragonite Messenger had arrived. The Dragonite agreed to carry Fang Yuan, and the group set out for the Dragon Den.

  • Fang Yuan packed Energy Cubes and prepared to leave while Milotic continued practicing Water- and Ice-type moves.
  • Rotom Phone received Master Yun Miao's notification that the Dragonite Messenger had arrived at Dragon Tower.
  • Master Yun Miao, Fang Yuan, and Yun Guancheng met the Dragonite Messenger at Dragon Tower.
  • Fang Yuan asked the Dragonite to give him a ride, and it readily agreed.
  • Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng decided to depart for the Dragon Den with the Dragonite.

Ch. 430Arrival at the Dragon Den, Flying-type Dragonite

Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng traveled by Dragonite and Salamence to Dragon Island, where the Dragon Den trial awaited them. After the Dragonite Messenger left, they were on their own to explore the island and prove themselves.

  • Fang Yuan nervously boarded Dragonite while Yun Guancheng rode Salamence, and the Pokémon took off from the Dragon Tower.
  • Fang Yuan discovered that Dragonite flew swiftly and smoothly, while its Flying-type talent kept him unaffected by the wind.
  • Dragonite and Salamence flew for over an hour toward the mist-shrouded Dragon Island, with Salamence growing exhausted as it tried to keep pace.
  • Dragonite led them through the mist and landed on Dragon Island, where Yun Guancheng explained that they would have to pass the Dragon Den trial to meet its elders and catch Pokémon.
  • Fang Yuan gave Dragonite an Energy Cube to thank it for the ride, and Dragonite flew away to report back.

Ch. 431Super Ancient Civilization Stone Tablet

Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng traveled together toward the center of Dragon Island, hoping to find the Dragon Den Elder and Pokémon from the Dominant Lineages. They reached an ancient stone tablet that recorded little about the Super Ancient era beyond the Giant Dragonite’s inheritance of Ancient Power.

  • Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng agreed to search the Dragon Den together for the elder and powerful Dragon-type Pokémon.
  • Fang Yuan summoned Espeon and Gluttony Ghost, and Espeon brought out the Rotom Phone to observe the island’s Pokémon.
  • The two walked toward Dragon Island’s center, passing Swablu, unusual green Supersonic Larva, and other Pokémon without encountering a Dragon Trial.
  • Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng found a stone tablet that Yun Guancheng said recorded Ancient Civilization and revealed the Giant Dragonite had grown enormous by inheriting Ancient Power.
  • Fang Yuan considered what the tablet suggested about Ancient Pokémon and the Super Ancient era.

Ch. 432Dragon Den's Powerful Pokémon

Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng crossed Dragon Island’s dangerous habitats and reached the central region, where Salamence’s roar drew a large group of powerful Dragon-type Pokémon toward them. The chapter ended with Dragonite, Salamence, and Garchomp closing in on the two Trainers.

  • Yun Guancheng told Fang Yuan about powerful Pokémon leaders on Dragon Island, including the Gyarados King, Charizard King, and Dragon Vein Sceptile.
  • Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng reached Dragon Gate Waterfall and crossed its stormy, Gyarados-filled waters using their Pokémon’s abilities.
  • The two Trainers traveled through Tyrant Valley, Pidgeot Great Forest, and Dragon Scale Lake, then arrived near the habitats of Dragonite, Salamence, and Garchomp.
  • Yun Guancheng’s Salamence roared excitedly, and dozens of Dragonite, Salamence, and Garchomp flew toward them.

Ch. 433Fang Yuan: I Choose Dragonite

Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng asked the Dragon Den’s Dominant Lineage for a chance to capture one of its Pokémon, prompting Espeon to reveal its Master Level strength. The Dragonite leading the group agreed to let them prove themselves at the next day’s Dragon Island Celebration.

  • Dozens of powerful Dragon-type Pokémon surrounded Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng, while Espeon sensed no real hostility.
  • A Dragonite used Telepathy to ask whether they had come to capture Pokémon, and Yun Guancheng requested a Dominant Lineage Gible.
  • Fang Yuan asked for a Dominant Lineage Dratini or Dragonair, with Dragonite also acceptable, and the Dragon-type Pokémon objected to their choices.
  • When the Dragon-type Pokémon’s roars and Intimidate pressured the visitors, Espeon unleashed a Psychic Wave that blocked the sound and impressed them.
  • The Dragonite agreed to give Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng a chance to prove themselves during the next day’s Ten Thousand Dragons Dance Together celebration.

Ch. 434Ten Thousand Dragons Dance Together (Double Chapter, 4k Words)

Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng witnessed Dragon Island’s Ten Thousand Dragons Dance Together festival, where the ritual strengthened Dragon-type Pokémon and helped some evolve. After both trainers accepted trials to earn the Dominant Lineages’ recognition, Yun Guancheng also asked the Dragonite Elder about Manaphy’s suspected role in a Pokémon Siege, and the Elder promised an answer after the trial.

  • Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng learned that Dragon Island’s festival celebrated successful breeding seasons among the Dragonite, Salamence, and Garchomp clans.
  • Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng watched Ten Thousand Dragons Dance Together, a ritual in which Dragon-type Pokémon danced and shared energy that helped some hatchlings evolve.
  • Yun Guancheng’s Pokémon and Fang Yuan’s Milotic joined the dance and gained a better understanding of Dragon Dance and Dragon-type energy.
  • The Dragonite Elder asked whether Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng would accept trials to earn the Dominant Lineages’ recognition, and both trainers agreed.
  • The Dragonite Elder sent Yun Guancheng with an imposing Garchomp to undergo the Garchomp clan’s trial.
  • Yun Guancheng showed the Dragonite Elder a photograph of Manaphy and described its suspected role in a Pokémon Siege; the Elder promised to answer after the trial.

Ch. 435Would You Like to Come with Me?

Fang Yuan learned that the Dragonite Messenger suffered from Sleepwalking Combat Syndrome, a condition that made its powerful sleepwalking state dangerous and uncontrollable. He abandoned his search for a Dragonite of the Dominant Lineage and invited the Messenger to travel with him so they could seek a treatment.

  • The Dragonite Elder took Yun Guancheng’s photo and left Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng with Dragonite to take their tests.
  • After Yun Guancheng left, Fang Yuan noticed the Dragonite Messenger glancing at Milotic, then recalled Milotic and asked about finding a Dragonite of the Dominant Lineage.
  • The Dragonite Messenger explained that its friend could use Extreme Speed only while sleepwalking, and Rotom Phone identified the condition as Sleepwalking Combat Syndrome.
  • Fang Yuan guessed that the Dragonite Messenger was describing itself and learned it had been afraid to sleep because it could lose control and attack others.
  • Fang Yuan changed his plans and invited the Dragonite Messenger to come with him while they searched for a way to treat its condition.

Ch. 436Come at Me Together!

Fang Yuan persuaded the Dragonite Messenger to consider becoming his Pokémon and asked the Dragonite Elder for a test. The elder agreed that Fang Yuan must defeat the Messenger in its Sleepwalking State to prove he could safely become its Trainer.

  • Fang Yuan learned the Dragonite Messenger feared its sleepwalking combat syndrome would endanger others, then proposed battling it to prove he could help.
  • Fang Yuan climbed onto the Dragonite Messenger and urged it to fly after the Dragonite Elder, and its Tailwind-powered speed quickly caught up with the elder.
  • Fang Yuan told the Dragonite Elder he wanted to become the Messenger's Trainer and help with its condition.
  • The Dragonite Elder explained that Fang Yuan had to defeat the Messenger in its Sleepwalking State, where it could reach Master Level combat power.
  • The Dragonite Elder told Fang Yuan to call out all his Pokémon because he would not otherwise be a match for the Messenger.

Ch. 437Storm Dragon!

Fang Yuan and his five Pokémon challenged the Dragonite Messenger to awaken it from its sleepwalking state, and discovered that Dragonite fought through instinct with extraordinary speed and power. After Dragonite’s opening attacks pushed back Espeon and Infernape, Fang Yuan began coordinating the team against it.

  • Fang Yuan accepted the Dragonite Elder’s request and sent out Espeon, Magnezone, Infernape, Gluttony Ghost, and Milotic to battle the Dragonite Messenger.
  • The Dragonite Messenger used Rest, then entered its sleepwalking state, where the Dragonite Elder explained that it sensed airflow and fought through reflexes.
  • Dragonite merged with Tailwind and attacked with wind blades, but Espeon blocked them with Psychic in an exchange that ended in a draw.
  • Dragonite rushed Fang Yuan’s team with Extreme Speed, evaded Infernape’s Thunder Mach Punch, and blasted Infernape away with a wing-driven whirlwind.
  • Fang Yuan assessed Dragonite’s speed and strength, then directed his Pokémon into coordinated team combat.

Ch. 438Captured, the Sixth One!

Fang Yuan and his Pokémon awakened the Dragonite Messenger from its sleepwalking state, then healed its injuries and gained the Dragonite Elder’s permission to take it along. Dragonite willingly entered Fang Yuan’s Poké Ball as his sixth Pokémon.

  • Magnezone and Gluttony Ghost restrained the sleepwalking Dragonite while Espeon struck it with a Life Energy-enhanced Spiral Psychic Ball.
  • Dragonite unleashed a Hurricane to resist the attack, but the collision left it badly wounded and restored its awareness.
  • Fang Yuan stopped further attacks and had Milotic heal Dragonite with Life Dew.
  • The Dragonite Elder warned Fang Yuan about the danger of Dragonite’s sleepwalking state, and Fang Yuan promised to take responsibility for it.
  • Dragonite nodded that it would go with Fang Yuan, and the Dragonite Elder agreed to let it leave.
  • Fang Yuan captured Dragonite in a Poké Ball, adding his sixth Pokémon.

Ch. 439Dragonite's Training Direction

Fang Yuan introduced Dragonite to his team and examined its exceptional flying abilities and extensive move set. He planned to train Dragonite by addressing its sleepwalking, helping it fight as well while awake, and teaching it additional moves.

  • Fang Yuan comforted Dragonite and let it tour Dragon Island before leaving, introducing it to the rest of the team.
  • Eevee saw Dragonite as a useful gaming companion, while Infernape worried that Dragonite would worsen its place in Fang Yuan’s team rankings.
  • Rotom Phone recorded Dragonite’s Multiscale Ability, and Fang Yuan considered how the Ability might contribute to its extraordinary flying talent.
  • Fang Yuan reviewed Dragonite’s many moves and identified its sleepwalking condition and weaker awake-state combat as training priorities.

Ch. 440Infernape: I Can Still Be Saved

Fang Yuan learned that waking Dragonite with gentle status-curing moves would be difficult, but he planned to have Eevee improve Heal Bell and test it. He also discovered that Dragonite battled poorly while awake, and Dragonite agreed to train so it could protect everyone.

  • Fang Yuan asked Rotom whether healing moves could wake sleepwalking Pokémon, and Rotom explained that their Super Sleep was difficult to break without a powerful move.
  • Fang Yuan decided Eevee should practice Heal Bell and try it on Dragonite the next time Dragonite sleepwalked.
  • Fang Yuan toured Dragon Island's core area with Dragonite and had Dragonite battle Infernape under standard rules.
  • Infernape defeated Dragonite with Thunder Armor after Dragonite displayed poor combat awareness and lost its flying advantage.

  • Xia Jingzhong welcomed Fang Yuan and revealed that his granddaughter, Xia Xinyan, had mentioned him before.
  • Xia Jingzhong showed Fang Yuan his Dragon Eye Fruit subspecies and offered him trees to transplant to the institute’s Outdoor Research Area.
  • Fang Yuan declined the offer because he had no plans to cultivate valuable Berries and did not want the extra work.
  • Fang Yuan bid farewell to Xia Jingzhong and hurried to inspect construction at Fang Yuan Research Institute.

Ch. 443Professional Trainer Assessment

Fang Yuan asked Director Mu for leave to prepare for the Professional Trainer Assessment, but Tang Sheng tried to recruit him for Modu University’s National Competition team. After learning how nominations worked, Fang Yuan confirmed he would compete in the National Competition’s Individual Battle to gain experience and strengthen his case for a nomination.

  • Fang Yuan startled Tang Sheng by saying he intended to join the National Team substitute selection and attend the World Pokémon League Conference.
  • Fang Yuan explained that Champion Jiang Li’s conversation had helped inspire his decision, and Tang Sheng described the National Team’s main and substitute selections.

  • Fang Yuan confirmed he would enter the Individual Battle and use it to give Milotic and Dragonite more competitive experience.

Ch. 445The Terror of Black Flame

Fang Yuan visited Millennium Gengar Nai He to show her Gluttony Ghost’s strengthened Black Flame, which could threaten Master Level Pokémon but remained difficult to extinguish at will. Nai He praised the technique but could not help control it, and Fang Yuan believed Gluttony Ghost would master it as it grew stronger.

  • Fang Yuan brought Gluttony Ghost to visit Millennium Gengar Nai He in Sun and Moon Forest.
  • Fang Yuan explained that spirit energy from a Dusk Stone could fuel Gluttony Ghost’s Will-O-Wisp, then asked it to demonstrate the Black Flame.
