Background

Xia Linfei was born in a future devastated by worldwide war and spatial disasters. By 2030, fewer than one-tenth of the global population remained. With no time to fully calibrate the completed time machine, she and her group activated it early in an attempt to change history. 381

Her birth name was Shen Linfei. Her biological mother is Liu Piaoxue and her father is Shen Huanyin; Gao Jun is her adoptive father in her original future. 383 384 Determined to prevent Shen Huanyin's death and protect Liu Piaoxue, Xia Linfei was willing to accept even a future in which she herself would not be born. 383

After arriving in the past, she used a photograph of herself with Su Caiwei to pose as Su Caiwei's niece, securing support and resources while concealing her true origin. 388 She enrolled in the Molecular Biochemistry master's program at Binhe Institute of Technology and met Su Yuan while both were working as flyer distributors. 15 29
