You Show Off, So Will I
We wholeheartedly recommend this book to you: <Hogwarts: Regulus, Lord of the Starry Sky>, [link].
When Freya witnessed Regulus defeat the masked man, her doubts vanished.
She was, of course, constantly watching Regulus.
After all, she brought him from UK, and she was the one who took on the mission; she couldn't let something happen to him on his very first day here.
So she could clearly see that the gray-green spell disappeared for a fleeting moment before hitting its target, just a short distance away, before reappearing directly on the opponent's chest.
The spell itself was already incredibly powerful, but what was even more unusual was the way it was cast.
A combination of Space Magic and Attack Magic.
Wizards who can achieve this level of skill, regardless of their age, deserve serious attention.
Freya looked into Regulus's eyes and noticed a glimmer of expectation in them.
She nodded, said nothing more, put away her wand, and the map vanished.
After finishing their meal, the two got up and started walking back.
The moonlight made the stone path appear white, and Regulus stopped in front of the Cabin by the sea.
"Goodnight, Freya," he said.
"Goodnight, Regulus," she said.
Freya watched him push open the door and go in, then turned and left.
Regulus closed the door and leaned against it for a while.
After all this build-up, is it finally here?
He wasn't sure what the relationship was between the Abyssal Whisper and the Eisenhardt family—was it a genuine conflict or just a facade?
It's also unclear what role Abyssal Whisper played in this event—whether it was a trial arranged for it, a participant in the plan, or simply someone who happened to be drawn in.
Either way is fine.
He wondered what tomorrow would bring.
What's in that stronghold? What kind of Magic do those people use? What can he get from it?
Will Delta Scorpii be fully illuminated in the upcoming battle, or is there still another stage to come?
These questions swirled in his mind, finally settling into one thought: he'd find out tomorrow.
The next day, the weather was sunny.
The sea was calm and still, and the sunlight bathed everything in a warm hue.
Because he was heading to the Whisperers of the Abyssal Whisper stronghold, where there might be battles, Regulus bought some gear in Reef Town.
The town wasn't big, and there were only a few shops selling Magic items. Freya accompanied him to look at each shop, and finally they found something suitable in a shop that specialized in protective gear.
The black, close-fitting lining is made of leather from some kind of marine creature, soft yet tough, and can withstand a certain degree of cutting and impact.
Wear a dark gray short jacket over it; the material is specially treated Dragon Hide, which is waterproof, windproof, and lightweight.
The pants are a matching set, also dark gray, tapered at the ankle for easy movement.
The boots are high-topped with anti-slip Rune on the soles, allowing them to maintain their footing even on slippery rocks.
Regulus changed into this outfit and looked at himself in the mirror.
The person in the mirror had a tall and straight figure, with the lines of his shoulders and back outlined by the Dragon Hide coat. Although he still looked thin, he already had the outline of a young man.
He turned to look at Freya, who had also changed her clothes today.
Almost identical to the outfit Regulus was wearing: a black inner lining, a dark gray Dragon Hide coat, matching trousers, and high-top boots.
However, her cut is more fitted to the female figure, with a more defined waistline, making her appear even taller.
She stood there, her platinum blonde braids hanging down her back, exuding a heroic and capable aura.
Regulus glanced at her, then looked down at himself.
It looks like we're wearing the same style.
The two walked out of the shop and headed towards the town's exit.
The sun was shining brightly, and many residents of the town were out and about.
The shop owner, who was sunbathing at her doorstep, watched them pass by and her gaze lingered on the two of them for a moment.
There was admiration, curiosity, and something else in his eyes—perhaps disdain.
Several young employees walked over from the opposite side. When they saw Freya, they subconsciously slowed down. When they saw Regulus next to her, they had a look on their faces that said, "Who the hell is this?"
They disliked it even more.
Regulus didn't pay any attention.
In a place like Reef Town, wizards are generally older and there aren't many young people, so the two of them walking together are bound to attract attention.
Leaving the town, we descended along the path along the edge of the cliff.
The rocks stood tall, and the sound of the waves crashing grew louder and louder.
Regulus assumed the way to cross the sea would be by Flying Broomstick; 120 nautical miles would only take a little over an hour to Broomstick there.
Or Apparition to the vicinity and then fly a short distance.
But Freya led him to the beach below the cliff, where there was a small natural harbor surrounded by reefs. The seawater was so clear that you could see sea urchins eating starfish on the seabed.
Freya took a glass bottle out of her pocket.
The bottle is about the size of a palm, its surface covered with densely packed Rune that gleam with a faint blue light in the sunlight.
The bottle contains a small boat, exquisitely crafted, with the mast, sails, and details of the deck clearly visible.
Regulus raised an eyebrow slightly, a strong sense of déjà vu emanating from him.
Freya placed the bottle on a flat rock and tapped it lightly with her wand.
The bottle shimmered, then collapsed like sand, falling in a soft rustling sound and being scattered by the sea breeze.
The small boat still hovers in the original position of the bottle, maintaining its miniature form.
Freya flicked her wand, and the small boat flew out, drawing an arc in the air before landing on the sea dozens of meters away.
The moment it hit the water, the boat began to inflate.
It expanded rapidly, ten meters, twenty meters, thirty meters, finally stopping at the size of a real warship.
The wooden hull, the dark wood gleaming with an oily sheen in the sunlight.
The bow is slightly upturned and carved with a pattern of some kind of marine creature, like a sea serpent or a dragon, with a coiled body and open fangs.
Three masts stood tall, the sails unfurled automatically, and the Eisenhardt Family crest was embroidered on the white canvas.
The ship remained steadily on the sea, rising and falling gently with the waves.
Regulus was about to ask, "How do you get up there if you throw it that far?"
Freya turned her head and glanced at him, a hint of mockery, or something similar, flashing in her eyes.
Then she vanished instantly, Apparition.
The next instant, she appeared on the deck of the ship, standing at the railing, facing this direction.
Regulus stood there, somewhat speechless.
He had sensed the Anti-Apparition Charm in Reef Town long ago, and Freya had also mentioned it.
The coverage area includes the entire town, as well as a considerable portion of the nearshore waters.
Freya's ability to Apparition directly suggests she possesses some kind of authority or identity verification, similar to the headmaster of Hogwarts, but not quite as extreme.
The question is, what did she mean by that glance she gave him?
Showing off?
Regulus stood on the reef, watching the small figure on the ship in the distance.
She stood there, facing him, and even from this distance, he could feel her watching him.
What could he do then?
He wanted to try the Anti-Apparition Charm.
Regulus closed his eyes, fully activating his Spatial Perception.
The surrounding Spatial Structure unfolded in his consciousness: reefs, seawater, air, and that invisible spatial barrier, the blockade formed by the Anti-Apparition Charm.
The barrier, like a wall, covers the entire area.
However, the wall is not completely sealed. Freya tore through space when Apparition, leaving a trace.
Although the space itself can heal itself and smooth out the crack, only a few seconds have passed since she Apparition there, and the trace is still there.
Regulus caught the mark—its location, direction, and the extent of the tear.
A skilled Apparition can indeed locate a wizard who has just Apparition by tracking such traces.
Back in Hogsmeade, Moody was able to appear right after the Dark Wizard who Apparition, thanks to this.
But now that the Anti-Apparition Charm is in the way, Regulus needs to do more.
He took a deep breath, and Magic Power surged within him.
The Spatial Warp Charm isn't for Warp himself; he can't do that yet. He only needs to Warp a passage.
At the torn spatial rift, he used the principle of Spatial Warp to probe deeper into the crack, tearing open an even larger opening.
The Anti-Apparition Charm reacted immediately; the invisible wall began to close towards the crack, attempting to repair it.
Regulus tapped his wand repeatedly, simultaneously driving five Spatial Anchor into the rift.
The anchor point instantly fixed itself, supporting the crack and preventing it from closing.
The spell has taken effect; the anchor point is now stable.
Regulus sensed that the passage leading to the ship had been opened.
He activated Apparition.
The body squeezes into that narrow crack, is compressed and squeezed, and then breaks free from the other end.
With his feet firmly on the ground, he stood beside Freya.
The deck swayed slightly, and the sea breeze made the sails flutter.
Freya turned her head to look at him, her mouth slightly open, and she blinked twice.
That expression was less one of surprise and more one of disbelief.
She turned to look in the direction of Reef Town, raised her wand, and whispered a rapid incantation. A faint light appeared at the tip of the wand, then went out.
The Anti-Apparition Charm is still active.
She turned her head again and stared at Regulus.
This time, his eyes held a genuine question: How did you get here?
Regulus stood there, letting her see.
He thought for a moment, then sent her the same emoji as she had when she looked at him from the rocks—a mix of teasing and smugness.
Freya's expression froze for a moment when she saw his expression.
Then she quietly looked away.
She frowned slightly, then relaxed, pursed her lips, and tried to keep her face cold and stern, deliberately avoiding looking at him.
Regulus laughed beside him.
Freya heard the laughter and her ears twitched, but she didn't turn around.
